Pete Rock hit me! ‘Nuff respect due, when they reminisce over you..
…or in this case Roy

Pete who kind of invented a big slice of hip hop production in the real early 90s did a superb mixtape with Roy Ayres originals and Hip Hop Classics that exclusively use Roys timeless compositions as their sample source. Some classic Tribe, X-Clan, Brand Nubian and so forth. In 2014 where Mos & Kweli are seen as old school, i am truly thankful for such a great mix. I once met Pete in 1999 for some kind of interview i did for some mag and the man’s chill as hell. Big fan here of him and even more of Roy Ayres. So, cool mix if you like your Hip Hop served with some proper soulful music.
