Great Art Blog “Annina.fr” and so much, much more, by one of our very own yum yum cofounders

Fruits from annina roescheisen on Vimeo.

Annina who is one of my dearest friends and YUM YUM founders, (she was there right when it all started and actually was also responsible for a lot of input, for a lot of the styles and a lot of great ideas), who now lives in Paris for a few years has finally started her own blog – www.annina.fr– its about Contemporary & Modern Art, Exhibitions her music and all other things related. Coming from the heart of Paris, Annina is quite personal, honest and from deep within and thats just what a blog is supposed to be, i gave it a look for a few weeks before putting it online, cause i wanted to see if this was an ongoing endeavour, but hey – i am quite hooked, so here you go or voila > check out Anninas page and please make sure to check out her video section. Amazing material! The music posted is quite touching and so you can tell where she is coming from, and how this is a progress in each and every way. Her eyes are wide open – Welcome Cinderella!

If i was to do a music video for any of my music, Annina & her folks would be the only people i would ask. The quality is amazing and there is a definite unique feel to it and that feel is her own self, which she now no longer minds sharing with everyone. Lovely! Have fun with her site! You might learn something… but you will definitely have fun.

PS Please share this website and spread the word. Thank you all!!

W have spent so much time together and here is one of her favourite tunes and a YUM YUM classic (i think we used to listen to the instumental in some long nights). Just because you are who you are, we are reconsidering doing YUM YUM in Paris. Thank you

Cache Rules Everything Around Me from Evan Roth on Vimeo.

Found this yesterday in my reader via rebel:art.

Great animated gif video – he picked all of my and surely some of your favourites. You have probably seen most of the internet memes, which are incorporated in this beautifully bizarre video via reddit, digg, Facebook, tumblr of whatever else your preferred service might be, but seriously I watched this like 5x yesterday night and I really have to say hats off to Evan Roth for this one. You sweetened my day. The title alone is worth a gun salute. Check out more from Evan Roth. Hats off sir.

mannoderquadrat – m.o.q.

MannOderQuadrat, a photographic pdf-magazine, has reached its third round.
Founded in november 2008 by a couple of “hellishly naive students” of the university of applied science munich, m.o.q.’s main aim is to provide a platform for the constantly growing photographic output of their design faculty.  M.o.q.’s variety of styles results from the concept itself, where no editorial department is needed. Still being in some sort of experimental state, issue number 3, as well as previous releases, can now be viewed via www.mannoderquadrat.de.

UAMO Art Exhibition. Just a quick reminder…

We’d like to point your attention to a nice little art exhibition called UAMO (Urban Art & Media Organisation) which opens up this Thursday Apr 23rd and ends on Sunday Apr 26th. There will be more than 60 pieces of art made by artists coming from more than 8 countries (Munich/Germany, USA, Iran, Italy, Israel, Spain, Korea, Netherlands, U.K., etc.).

The exhibition takes place in Munich at the Kunstarkaden (nearby Marienplatz). Free entry. Enjoy!!

Funkee Homosapian (Deltron 3030)

If a picture paints a thousand words then here’s something to keep your eyes busy… Ali McLeod is a British photographer living in New York City. Graduate of the world famous New School (Parson’s College NYC) Ali has photographed her fair share of the city’s hip hop fraternity, and has published in magazines such as High Times. I think her work is fantastic… (but then I would… she’s my sister… ssshhh!) I hope you all do too.

If you would like to check out more of Ali’s work and show some love, head on over to her site and say hello!
