Another future pop treasure that popped up in our inbox. Very sparse instrumentation and a solid flow make it a winner and a memorable tune, without trying to sound too much like last years first wave of future pop tunes, ie Mothica etc – Like the R&B/pop feel it brings. Post Malone’s new single went straight to Nr 1 in several countries (next week), every Streaming service and whatnot, and all that within 2 weeks. We knew he had a bright future ahead when everyone i knew literally went crazy for “Flex On Me” last year, but this tune is, from it’s sheer composition, the perfect Zeitgeist in production and songwriting, besides being cool AF. Welcome brave new world.
…not counting the countless tracks we all came to know and love over the past 3 years. About damn time i say, and i just recalled their very first show in germany they played with chromemusic in 2010. Hope to see them play again anytime soon. So so yourself a favour and if you only cop one record this year, make sure to get their debut album “Breakfast” via itunes + the free single of the week. Plus another additional Xaphoon Jones remix of phenomenal band St Lucia, to show his musical versatility as a producer… as if you didn’t already know :)
