Munich homegrown ‘Cloudkid – We are 1 Mio’ Playlist & Party

banner
After reaching 1 Mio follower on YouTube, the Munich based Channel and future bass tastemaker Cloudkid, is having a ball in conjunction with Uberbasss, as a one off night, this friday, May 12th 2017, with selected Acts and buddies: Nebbra (Paris, FR) / TRAILS (Berlin, DE) / Mindsight (München, DE) + Guests.
They asked us to give out tickets, but we are really busy this week, basically establishing what you guys did on YouTube on our playing field aka Spotify, that we really have not time for any kind of messaging, back and forth. So go we’ll limit it to Facebook, grab your chalices, do your duty, spend a buck and support your homegrown youngsters and future bass innovators. Well done!
ps. Josh, one of the young cats in charge is a guy i thoroughy like and always tried to support, and i am happy that his qualities are emerging more and more, while his focus is sharpening. It seems to pay off what you have sown ;)

Shy Luv – Time

Shy Luv from the UK with a beautiful and uplifting new disco-pop song called ‘Time’ and the vibe reminds me of Mayer Hawthorne and Tuxedo. These days, time is a scarce commodity and we should appreciate every single moment we’ve got to spend with our beloved ones or simply enough time to do whatever we want to do with our lifes. I think we’ll see a shift in near future when technology further evolves. Robots and AI’s are taking over and we have much more time to do other things. So, what are you going to do with your time then?

…So give me space and let me breathe…. “Love Song Idea” by Melis

giphy

Beauty in a nutshell is this song!

Not really into overly melodramatic songs these days, but at Love song Idea has sincere depth! Something that’s overly missing from the new pop music, which mostly has no-talent influencer hacks posing as artists. But to not spoil beauty with negativity, let’s get back to Melis, who was just *pitched to me a mere 10 min ago. Is it that good? Honestly i don’t know yet, but the first impression and Melis somewhat different sound, set her so much apart from the mainstream input i get 24/7. The honesty in her voice is priceless and that’s what lets a song transport emotion and creates value in my music obsessed world. So, Thank God It’s Thursday ! And Bon Voyage, fellow Berlin, singstress Melis. This song will go far!

The Slow Jam FIX Just In : Flamongo & Xloxlyp feat. Aria Dawn – Insensitive

giphy

Ok, we got a winner this year. Xloxlyp & Flamongo are now my favourite act (by far). Every track sounds like it’s made for the 4Chan generation. Insensitive seems like the OST of an imaginary romance between Jackie 4Chan and Brittany Venti, in a future movie about that whole Shia LaBaboon HWNDU fiasco (btw the best shit show in the world). In the age of virtue signaling, “Insensitive” is i guess how every rational person feels, when surrounded by the new Normies of our disconected society. And telling from the lyrics, they were going for that numbness surrounding people in this ADHD world of TMI, useless data, empty words that leave you triggerless. “Whiskey shots will cure it all” says it all, and is an instant winner in my book. Anyways this is the 2nd time i had a Xloxlyp track on repeat, this time while revisisting Metal Gear Solid on PS4. So if anyone can hang in my short gaming playlist with your song, especially if it’s a slow jam, w/o getting kicked out in a good 4h, while i am pulling stunts in the Afghan Desert, that is pure quality. Ps for some reason the track reminds me of Beyonce’s “Hold on” track w/o sounding pathetic, self-absorbed, self congratulatory and/or like Beyonce.

“Insensitive” should be mandatory listening when shitposting. The production is again dead on point w/o doing too much and over doing that whole future bass genre, which is just hot air anyways and sticking more to a modern slow dance style. Whoever Aria Dawn is, she does a damn fine job and the whole thing works. It’s not demanding too much, not promising anything, but again Xloxlyp and Flamongo deliver the goods.
