Erykah Does Not Mourn Missing You, But Celebrates Meeting You Again! – “Where You Are”

Can It Be I Stayed Away Too Long?

Did I Leave Your Mind When I Was Gone?

Now that you are so far away…

…i notice time after time just how much i miss you. It’s not only the little things anymore. Home is wherever you are becomes such an obvious statement. The most beautiful song ever written about missing your love from a distance as a wonderful cover version. The Roots feat. Erykah Badu – I Wanna Be Where You Are is possibly the best Jackson 5 cover i know, and like any attempt of covering the Jacksons pales in comparison, but has a unique playful beauty of its own with its 70s sounding instrumentation, that compels me to move. A wonderful tune and one of those drift off to foreign places kind of songs where minds, hearts and souls connect across the vastness of oceans and continents. I wanna be where you are.

Now Here’s A New Contender For… The One Song That I Can Listen To All Day!

I Feel Like Jumping… Or Doing One Of Those Silly Dances!

Make sure to do as the lyrics in this beautiful remake tell you to. And don’t listen to this before going to bed! It’ll have you up and dancing as soon as the beat drops, and it’ll take you at least another hour before finally going to sleep. I honestly wish more songs like this were played in clubs and at parties.

Afraid Of Losing Yourself And Your Love? The Head And The Heart Have A Surprising Solution!

From my own personal experience this has always been the solution to every obstacle and problem arising, especially in relationships and with loved ones. These relationships can only work, for both, when both are concious of being and of oneself, and to achieve that you have to do just what The Head And The Heart suggest. A perfect soundtrack to everyones life situation when spiralling out of control and getting lost in the external and its stories… and we all know how fast that can happen. The music is charming to say the least and without a doubt the most beautiful song you will hear all week, pure chicken soup (in my case veggie broth) for the soul. Consider me a fan of The Head And The Heart!

You can get lost in the music for hours, honey,
You can get lost in a room.
We can play music for hours and hours
But the sun’ll still be coming up soon

The world’s just spinning
A little too fast
If things don’t slow down soon we might not last.
So just for the moment, let’s be still.

Let The Lumineers Shine Some Acoustic Light Into Your Winter-Weary Ears

Step 1: Winter sucks. Step 2: Heartfelt acoustic songs make everything better:

This is a great acoustic version of an 80ies classic by the phenomenal Talking Heads. Must be one of the best cover versions that i have heard all winter. The Lumineers are always on point. Enjoy: The Lumineers – This Must Be The Place (Naïve Melody)

Home – is where i want to be
But i guess i’m already there
I come home – -she lifted up her wings
Guess that this must be the place
I can’t tell one from another
Did i find you, or you find me?
There was a time before we were born
If someone asks, this where i’ll be . . . where i’ll be
