Treasure Fingers – Cross The Dancefloor (Designer Drugs Mix)
I haven’t posted anything for some time now. So welcome me back and show them to me…
We have a huge weekend behind us. First off we had our first ‘solo’ Topfriend night at the Registratur where we went from the small and tiny Sekretariat to the big main room. I was impressed how people actually accepted the sound from the beginning and gave us a pleasant feedback, although we didn’t rave as hard as in our small room sessions and left out some hits. But besides that it was a decent start and our friend Passion did a good job and showed them youngsters standing behind the booth how to properly use a serato setup in 09. Topfriend will be back on January 31 at Munich’s Cafe King when it is up to Chrome and Schowi at the WeSC Party.
On Saturday we went on and headed to Innsbruck, where we had our highly anticipated YUM YUM Austria Kick-Off with Not:fx and the local Wax Wreckaz crew a.k.a. WWF allstars. The club turned out to be very appropriate and with all the students back in town, Innsbruck was eager for a new party night. We had a good time and people were celebrating the yum yum sound to the fullest. YUM YUM Innsbruck will be back on February 14th with Schu and the Wax Wreckaz (Hitman J. Hart, Bam A. Bigelow & C. Undertaker)
YUM YUM NRW recap follows!
Tonka playing MGMTs Kids on swedisch electronic pocket organ for the YUM YUM guys. Hilarious.
This guy is one of the pioneers of the old german techno/breakbeat/house scene and he made this outstanding and ridiculouly dancefloor treatment of MGMTs gigantic anthem “Kids”. Extremly mixable and check the added keyboards, which give away a lot of his Italo influence. He even reprogrammed the drums on the same drum machine to make a properly mixable outro and break. This tune does it all. respect the architect…
He will probably be getting down with the entire YUM YUM/ Top Friend Entourage in the near future since he moved to munich recently and is extremly interested in the new styles, does some good production etc. We’ll see more of him in the near future.
[audio:http://www.chromemusic.de/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/kids-tonka-treatment.mp3]lovely tune – some sad story behind it, but sadness is only external, so enjoy..
the tracks been around for some time, but i have never seen this video. Dig the style.
