Top Friend Party this Saturday @ Cafe King “The brawl to settle it all”

After a couple of amazing Top friend parties this year we are back this next Saturday with no lineup confusion but me and Not:fx to get down to buisness and bang out the latest tunes in blogland. from Kwaito, koduro, electronic bargaining, bedroom pressure, reggae anthems, straight tech edge tunes, hip hop and so forth to plain old bangers – this one is intended to be a clash like the flyer implies, which was designed by our grafix department :-)))) while we were having a pint much to much… keeping the tradition of having the dumbest flyers in town (which only the digital natives fully understand and appreciate) Top Friend is back this Saturday with some unfinished business. While looking for some more Chiddy Bang tracks online, after “Kids” was voted this months YUM YUM top tune, i came across these two pieces called “sooner or later” & “because” sampling Radiohead, among others, but these were the most outstanding ones. Not no primers or so but just some fresh tunes from this band that i came to value a lot for making hip hop listenable again to me. way to go chiddies…

Everyone s in love with this girls tunes, and thats easy if you listen to any of them.

These versions have been cutting it for me for the some time now. especially skreams remix was the higlight last month or so, the original is uneffable with and i have got a neck for folky cover versions.

I was busy doing nothing for the last couple of days/weeks and this was one of my theme songs. Found it on a couple of my favourite sites and if i remember correctly one wrote something like: “if this tune would have came out a year earlier – it would have blown up”, i agree 100%. But still with more and more people picking up UK funky these days (i know the name is friggin lame), this song fits somewhere right between these tunes. Enjoy.
