Slipping into Darkness vs Get up Stand up

Another one of these great mashups that sounds right in my ears and works very well together. 2 of my all time favourite tunes blended together and they work well. He used PRT’s “Rock this funky joint” which already incorporated the sample of Wars “Slippin into Darkness” and then mixed it with the recently resurfaced Marley voacls that are actually untouchable, but this here works. Enjoy (he also added the Chapelle “Darkness” sample)

Day 1 YUM YUM heads remember us playing this one till the records bled.. “Bang like a wild african, spit gutter on this Premo beat…”.  Somehow this seems to be the hot stuff right now – Again. Only a few years old, this one still does the trick for me, or better yet, it does it again to everyone. There is a new generation out there loving those last decade forgotten gems. Say what you want about NORE, he was only hot with Neptunes, blah, blah … still this combinations deadly. Playing it again. Infinite Swag.

One of the few bearable Mashup tunes these days.. naw i’m kidding there are still brilliant ones out there, as long as they don’t use the same old same old overheard Jacko, Daft Punk etc . This is one of these tunes that sound so elegantly perfect that you do not even recognize it as a mashup. We all remember “the song” it from 4 years back when Mark Ronsons Smith meets Motown cover version of ‘Stop Me’ went to the top of the charts. Here is the original Smiths vocal from the 80ies mixed in a Roots manner. Enjoy
