Ghostfunk is a remix project by Max Tannone. It pairs Wu-Tang member Ghostface Killah with vintage African funk, high-life, and psychedelic rock music. Check out the official site: Ghostfunk
PS Max Tannone was also responsible for the highly enjoyable Dub Kweli and the awesome Mos Dub Remix projects . So after Talib & Mos Def he takes on the Wu’s Ghostface and mixes him with some nice african funk retro gems . Most of the tracks are real nice (check out “Three Lords” / “Danger 500” / “The same girl”) It says psych rock, but i think psych rock i automatically think the real magic dragon sound. Nice remix projects. Keep em coming Max
Mat McHugh, Singer of the Beautiful Girls, released his new video to “Go don’t stop” of his same titled Ep (get it here), that came out last month. If you are into the laid back accoustic sounds of all the surf rock guys and bands out there, this will definitely reach you, i dig it a lot. This tune will also be on the new Sweet Serenade mix.
