McDonald’s (there, I said it) LP “Sweet Magic” is just what the name suggests and further one of the most beautifullest things in the world of (though not hailing from the city of brotherly love) Philly Soul. Alas, it remained terrifyingly underrated. Check out how wrong you were for not having him on your radar for yourself. Oh, and since some studio drummers were still paid in coke those days, shout out to Lyon’s Patchworks for the DJ-friendly editing.

I used my first day off (TA-DAY!!) to make this island vibing remix of the infamous “Hold the Line” tune, mixed it up with some of my favourite vocals and laced it on top of the 80ies Sleng Teng Riddem. Was just talking to Paul (our newest member) about that famous “Warning” sample back in the Jungle days. Here you go: Ya got served.. Chromemusic favourite Ben Sollee , who has been included on almost each one of our Sweet Serenade mixtapes so far, returns with the first track of his upcoming album “Inclusions” which you can preorder via Bandcamp. I am a huge fan of his sweet, soulful music and i have been looking fwd to some new music from Ben Sollee, & judging from the first track his new album will make no exception. Really in love with this tune..

*ps i guess Cat Stevens wrote a song for all my  girlfriends & buddies that got lost in the world*
