Our friends and YUM YUM homies Schowi & Passion aka Bass ill Euro remixed the chart-topping Barbra Streisand plus featured german lyrics by Mister Santos of Massive Töne fame. If you are already over the original version, you will enjoy this one for sure, it is a certified banger on the dancefloor already! The video is just too good to be left out, also. Btw: All YUM YUM Stuttgart people will know most of the people involved in it!

By the way Not:fx and I had a really great time spinning last Saturday. That was bananas. Thanks so much for making it mine! Yes, it’s the 17th of November now which means it’s time for a new YUM YUM at the 100Meister this Saturday, Nov. 20th. DJs for the night will be Tand Williams and Not:fx who hasn’t been around since… hm… well I can’t remember exactly which basically means for way too long.

We are in for a full YUM YUM with all new versions and material which we are craving to play. Doors will be open at 11 PM as always and oh yes… we’ll hand out the brand new YUM YUM mixtape. Almost forgot about that. lol

Some weeks ago I saw a documentary about Detroit, Michigan. The story which told me what the city had been, what it became and especially what it is today impressed me a lot. The whole subcultural power which is reinventing the city right now, still finds its roots in the Motown years. That’s why I wanted to share this new weekly Motown Edition with you. Martha Reeves was one of the big names at that time and with the Vandellas, she formed one of the very first girl groups in terms of our pop-culture imagination.

YUM YUM Vienna starts this Saturday @ Market!! & a brandnew YUM YUM Mixtape!

Yes, hands down! Its about time, we’ve had a really good attempt at throwing YUM YUM in Cafe Leopold over a year and a half ago and it went down a storm with the crowd going nuts, even with the lights on. The Dj set that day was the same – Beware and me (oh and Functionist, Kamikaze and Motorpitch). Why it took us so long, nobody really knows. You’d expect it to go down in Vienna almost from day one, but there was always something not working out a 100% so we kept on digging until we found the right set up (no offense to every else involved before – you still are involved). Didnt want to go into the whole thing half hearted.

Since this is gonna be a monthly venue, make sure to go sign up with our Vienna Facebook group, will be supplying you once a month with party invites, new YUM YUM top tunes & our mixtapes (cause party invites only, definitely suck – we had to find out the hard way, like i guess everyone else on facebook). Our Vienna Goodie Mail (Newsletter) with bonus downloads & other gifts will be available for Vienna from January 2011 on.

Ps – pls let your peoples in Vienna know about our brandnew and official start and RSVP to the event on Facebook.

“Think It Over” Bilal a soulful gem, we’ve had the accoustic version on here before and this one is almost as good, but Bilal stands the test and is definitely the successor of the 70ies soul legends.
