Strong chill track from the La Belle Musique camp. Since YouTube is getting sanier and sanier, and the plays are decreasing uncontrollably seems like every channel is becoming a label these days. Does not make too much sense if you ask me, but it’s an opportunity to snatch talent that offers itself to these channels for exposure. I think La Belle M is a bit different, they have always held on to their unique style, that is super conform with our blogs taste. They have their look and are faring well as i can tell, this track that they released is just another proof that they are doing well and are headed the right way.
Hi Party people in the place to be…
Krs-1 attacks! Another month another roundup of YUM YUM Top Tunes. As you can see, we skipped last month bc we were busy hacking the french election or as the world now says, taking a drumpf. So here we go with the sweet sensation for your summers drop top convertibles, called “Föhnfrisur Pott Maschine” in Germany. Hope there is plenty of material and tunes that stick out to you and just sweeten your summers hot spots and your chances of getting laid. Stack up your playlists, grab your dj tools and secret weapons or just get high and get some sonic remedy ; So much stuff came out like the new Major Lazer, Lorde, Sean Paul and all that other global stuff, that shows up each year around the same time, but i think that’s better left up to the Radio Stations pumping Justin Bieber and the likes. Not dissing it, but we rather bring you the goods not on too many radars, except a few of these tracks also major label material, but not on that level. Guarantee that you’ll hear it more than you want anyway for the next 6 months. So we skipped the super obvious material and went for the DJs material. Love & Light !
And if you really don’t know how to mix that many styles, tempis, genres and juicy sounds, either come by one of our many parties or just remember what old Jack Burton used to say….
Just let the track unfold, for a minute, until it really sinks in. The longer it runs the more it creates that eery feeling of a haunted house and memories of a time long gone by or that never even happened. Great production by an artist i just got introduced to. Many modern tracks miss to create that certain feeling, and this one easily captures it, even though it drifts off into instrumental parts of the song that do not sound ‘real’ but more like an illusion, a state of mind fuck.
I only wish the track was longer… Great beatmaker, good vocals and highly recommended for every chill / learn / work / night drive / space the fuck out – playlist. The old genre “Trip Hop” comes to mind!
I for one welcome our new trippy overlords!
I guess this is what the Native Tongues would sound like if they were coming out today. Doesn’t this sound just like a solid classic De La Soul track? Love it! I honestly like this instrumental track a lot and it just throws up the question why todays rappers do not jump on tracks with this kind of vibe, it would give hip hop that much deserved push and i can just hear Joes Bada$$ going off on a track like Vibin’. Fine state of the art production with a bit over the top synths, that could be a bit toned down, but with the whole percussive part to back it up, it just rolls on and on and works somehow. So we salute 20y old Fluxkid from Berlin/Warsaw, the new kid on the block and we are really curious what kind of material he will come up with next!
The press release reads like this: “Vibin’is a cross-genre mixture of influences ranging from synth-pop to hiphop and future bass. Its very rhythmic, drum-driven composition opposed to smooth, soft and melodic synths creates a dynamic combination which fits both a dance floor and a more laid back context. This contrast between mellow verses and powerful chorus gives the track an extraordinary energy that will draw you deep into its warm, summer vibe. The mix of different elements and genres sounds like Mura Masa and Flume combined into one song that every fan of electronic music has been waiting for. You can easily lose yourself to the vibe of this track!” — I fully Agree!

Can the real squatting slavs please stand up!
Bomb track by the Highrollers feat our favourite femvox atm : Miss Bri Tolani. The song has some kind of EDM feel to it, you know like Pretty Lights, Kill Paris, Gramatik or Griz, but i think that’s just the feel of the drums, other than that the overall style is much fresher and best described as a brassy future bass tune. The rest is a hit pop song with a savage eastern european / slavic lick that makes you want to join the squatting crew, and live every moment in track suits with an orthodox christian gold chain. Russian Hackers at work!
Very welcome tune by the Highrollers, just came out this weekend and already their most successful song! Whatever you guys are doing different now, this seems to be the way to go!
About : The Highrollers is a project started in mid 2016 by Adam Oh (22 years old) and William Oh (15 years old). Their first release was a remix of Marshmello’s Alone which accumulated 80k plays on Soundcloud. After that release they were noticed by several taste makers and with these new links established they went on to co-release a remix of Zara Larsson and MNEK’s – Never Forget You on Chill City and reworked a cover of Radiohead’s Creep with Ember Island and co-released with Future City. Now with a few remixes under their belt, they started making more original work.

Head in my hands, Heart in my mouth..
First single from ‘The Aftrparty’ EP. Available on this weeks New Music Playlist on Spotify and according to the labels track record, this epic tune will around for many months to come. Definitely one of the most interesting tracks so far in 2017, which is a great year so far, and the arrival of Aftrparty on the international scene only underlines that. The perfect betw a melodramatically charged pop tune and a subtle zeitgeisty but still synaptic processable production, upgraded by the absolutely stunning vocals of Chloe Kissner.
Or in the words of their label:
“Alternative R&B act Aftrparty – the creative outlet of producer / instrumentalists Alex and Cian – got together as teenagers at a London high school in 2016. Their first original track “Hold Me Down” quickly garnered attention online, shooting to #1 on Hype Machine and cementing the duo as accomplished mixers of electronic, trap and hip-hop influences. Sonically, Alex’s production draws on the electronic dance beats of Flume & Mura Masa, as well as dark, 808-heavy influences. Cian blends in the distorted guitar and basslines of Travis Scott with elements of Frank Ocean’s organic palette forming a final product which fuses unique electronic and recorded sounds with inspired songwriting and intense production.”
About the song:
“Where I’m At started off as a heavy EDM beat Alex made in the summer of 2016. After shelving it for a few months, the duo brought it back to life with the unmistakeable sound of Cian’s guitar and bluesy vocals from Houston-based talent Chloe Kissner. Cian reworked Chloe’s initial lyrical ideas to reflect on what he was dealing with at the time – the repetitive, unsatisfying nature of doing the same thing every week and weekend is used as a metaphor for creating a perfect illusion of a girl, overcome with unfulfilling thought patterns. The instrumental blends Alex’s love of Mura Masa- style synths and 808 drops with Cian’s incorporation of Frank Ocean- esque guitar lines and clean verses.”
