Jim Sharp with another great edit from an all time classic and several times sampled song by Betty Wright “Clean Up Woman”
Nice way of sampling soul classics and mixing it up with some kind of hip hop drums by La Fine Équipe, a french DJ/Production team from Marseille & Paris. On “Muffin” they used Betty Wright’s “I Love The Way You Love” from 1972 and on “Tourment d’ amour” Donny Hathaway’s “I Believe To My Soul” from 1970.

Betty Wright & The Roots: Grapes On A Vine ft. Lil’ Wayne by S-CurveRecords
Great to see or rather hear Betty Wright back in Action. Lil Waynes a bit too much on this track, appears redundant and sounds somewhat misplaced, but other than that its a proper soul tune. Suggested & found by Stephanie Krant via our top tunes group.
