Krautrock – The Rebirth Of Germany from Dood Lijk on Vimeo.
Documentary which looks at how a radical generation of musicians created a new German musical identity out of the cultural ruins of war. Between 1968 and 1977 bands like Neu!, Can, Faust and Kraftwerk would look beyond western rock and roll to create some of the most original and uncompromising music ever heard. They shared one common goal – a forward-looking desire to transcend Germany’s gruesome past – but that didn’t stop the music press in war-obsessed Britain from calling them Krautrock. KRAFTWERK FTW!
There is not much to be said about Mount Kimbie, except that they are hailing from the Uk and that these 2 guys are beatmakers extraordinaire. And in case you missed their 2010 album “Crook & Lovers” (which won the cover of the year award in my book) make sure to get a copy of their 2011 Ep “Carbonated”. Lovely material

This is the 3rd email that i am receiving about the song thats on our Sommerfest Video. Well its no other than a guy called Jai Paul and he is definitely one of the artists to look out for in 2011 and beyond. The man is signed to XL recordings and the song “BTSTU” was just a demo as far as i know. The BBC named his sound “Twenty first century kaleidoscopic funk” . And we all hope there is more material coming soon. His sound is full of WIN
