wasted ruffians chromemusic

When you see the two Berliners behind the decks you can really feel their full commitment and their passion for music, alongside partying to it! This song is characterized by a deep and groovy house sound with lots of rousing varieties based on their musical roots like Indie, Hip Hop and Soul. Celebrate with the Wasted Ruffians this weekend at Ritter Butzke. I am not gonna sneak in some party dates here, but in case you were wondering where to see them live this saturday, April 18th – here is a link

…no but seriously here you go : RSVP to Exit 6 years of Madness @ Ritter Butzke.

Kafka Tamura – No Hope (Winterkind Remix)

kafka tamura winterkind remix chromemusic

The Kafka Tamura identity is clearly as resonant on stage as it is on record, with Emma’s voice carefully weaving between sharp beats and raw electronics.

Well often all it takes is a remix to get noted in the digital world. I never heard of Kafka Tamura before, but i am sure to check them out now, since this remix delivers all the right emotional feels & state of the art production that i am looking for in music nowadays. The original song is a beautiful tune, but in the world of streams, notifications, nanoseconds ADD audiences i guess this ‘compressed’ remix is all it takes for me to a) want to know about a band and b) want to see them live. Right in the feels man (ooompph) and surely much appreciated here at ChromeMusic. Cop it via iTunes or follow the band via the links below… Ps i sure hope this is just a start.

So Much Win! Cajsa Siik – Higher (Lakechild Remix)

lakechild higher cajsa siik

This tune is gonna be huge! ChromeMusic has always been a fan of the original and Cajsa Siik’s music in general, but this rework that i have heard at 3 (!) different parties last weekend alone just kills it. Its catchy enough so that the mainstream can get on the bandwagon, and at the same time transports that summery good vibe feel that i am looking for in zeitgeisty music. Pure bliss and sonic remedy in the endless stream of new remixes, this one stands out bc it is a song by itself and that’s what i expect from a remix: To give it a different twist and feel, but still staying true to and respecting the original material. According to the amount this tune has been played in our office and on college radio already, we are gonna hear this one a lot this summer – and that’s a good thing!

Usher – You Make Me Wanna (Rainer + Grimm Remake)

tumblr_n52dposuDY1txxlaqo1_500

Another R&B/90s Soul classic get the low vocals-formant retuning and the understandable 4/4 easy rework to make it fit for playing it on synced decks, cd players and or consoles. If i were an advocate for ‘real’ deejaying i’d probably knock this tune, but i guess (and still firmly believe) what counts with music is the sheer fun it can be. This one is fun, so here’s my skywards pointed thumb of approval!

Frank Ocean’s Tragic Cocaine Story Results In… A Beautiful Song And Remix

The Most Positive Way To Cope With Your Ex’s Cocaine Addiction

…move on and make a positive song about it! One of the most honest songs in recent times. Hope this tune means buisness to you as it does to me, since its my absoulte favourite track by Frank Ocean (besides Thinking bout you, which was THE  tune for 2012) and i have been coining this rework for the past months and had some serious feedback by the most diverse of crowds. Thank you. The Anti Drug Message in the Song is such powerful material and i sincerly hope this makes you get up and enjoy it even more!
