The worlds first iPad DJ: @ranajune

By chrome April 23, 2010

hit her up on twitter @ranajune

She gives it all away anyway, real simple setup.
one thing i know for sure – the idea of djing on touch screens is really nice, but honestly its not gonna happen on any apple os, for all the restrictions they have towards open apps (and no apps werent invented for the iphone – it just means applications and any cpu has them! even your old pantheological 90’s pc). So this is gonna happen but probably on linux or windows – apple won’t even release half the music apps that for example android has to offer – bc they want to secure their itunes market. So Welcome to Apple 2010 – kinda reminiscent of the Microsoft debate we had nearly a decade ago.

France meets Jamaica meets Bavaria

By chrome April 21, 2010

France-Jamaica-Bavaria, unusual, but it works good as you find open minded people everywhere in the world.

To explain it a bit, the row goes like this: Daft Punk’s Technologic gets re-interpreted by the Jamaican Terry Lynn, who gets remixed herself by Danny Scrilla. Danny Scrilla is the Berlin-Export from a small town in bavaria, which actually used to be my hometown, too. Nice to see him getting more and more successful.

new YUM YUM Munich this Saturday @ Puerto Giesing!

By chrome April 12, 2010

A brandnew YUM YUM Munich this saturday, April 17th @ Puerto Giesing, which is an old Hertie deparment store that is abandoned and open for artsy & cultural stuff (exhibitions, young designers and the likes). Kicking it off is once more the YUM YUM set & sound – and bringing you the latest YUM YUM tunes & feel good vibes this Saturday are – Djs Chrome, Not:fx & Max Mausser on the Main Floor. The 2nd floor will be run by my good friend and buddy Peshay from London/Uk (thats United Kingdom not Ukraine;-) & my matey Motive from the “too much fun crew”. You will be blown away by the location and the effort put into this venue – besides how often do you get to party in a Hertie/ department store on multiple Floors?

RSVP to YUM YUM on Facebook. Really looking forward to this massive dance.

This Saturday YUM YUM Munich @ Puerto Giesing – Tegernseerlandstr 64, you know the place.

ps. YUM YUM is a monthly venue even though we didnt do a date in march – bc we all went on vacation together – we had 2 dates in february – to make up for march. Hope that did somehow compensate for the cold month. Ps hope you have checked out our latest YUM YUM Top Tunes April. Plus expect me to play this new Talib Kweli tune at least twice LOL. Anyway, see you saturday this ones gonna be massive…
