Janet Reworks are flourishing at the moment. I guess all the other acapellas have been killed in the last decade by the mashup morons who just overdid it. Aaaagh don’t get me started. Another great banger from Hudmo. By now the entire world got used to his flawless productions pouring out continously and somehow he manages to raise the bar with every release. While everybody is reworking the easy acapellas available (“If” & “Rock with You” and so on) Hudmo took on the Pleasure Principle, not an instant crowd cheering song, since that tune is from the mid 80ies and that generation is not hitting the clubs anymore, aaaaand still… best Janet remix out there. I remember seeing the Berlin one first (of course) then next came Munich and after that different ones just started popping up almost hourly (insert gif). They’re like sarcastic gif tumblrs and indie city guides, from the perspectives of locals ( moved or born there), on how to save yourself a lot of embarrassments when visiting. After someone on Facebook sent me a link to Innsbruck and Münster i figured that we went too far (please insert gif here). So a short sum up is overdue
Some blogs are called “When you live in…”and some “When you really live in…”. Especially Berlin and Munich felt the urge to put a “Really” in the middle and set things straight. I guess it’s like the cooler 90ies rappers calling their music “Real” Hip Hop when compared to the likes of Euro Trash Rappers, you get the point. And that’s why i only linked the “Really” titled blogs for Berlin & Munich plus they are funnier and in most cases – from my perspective – more accurate.

A lot of smaller cities have way too many generalizations ie. ‘when your ex hooks up with your bff”. Looking at you IBK and that’s how i feel about it.
Had to re re do that 2011 yum yum version and guess that’s what train rides are for. Sounds alright and went down very well on a few YUM YUM test sites :) That Drum & Bass flavour is a great contrast to everything being 70 bpm all the time these days. Always liked that double time swing especially when paired with a yum yum tune of that calibre – pure prime timer. Makes no sense playing it anytime else in your sets.
I now have a favourite AG song. Best remix (of whatever) out there, period!

I have been playing this tune for the past two weekends and it does something that little to no Trap reworks manage, it sounds original while at the same time keeping a relaxed vibe, that lets you twist and tweak your set, and lets you take a different path or allows you to switch up while maintaing that infamous 70bpm tempo. If you ask me, thats the best Rihanna tune/ rework out there plus it got that pitched voice vibe that makes it instantly sound like an old Kanye sample. Grab the Free DL while its hot.
