YUM YUM meets STW2D // Stüssy Tribute Party

YUM YUM meets stw2d

Right now there is an ongoing exhibition taking place in Bochum featuring the past, present and future of streetwear and its culture called the live magazine which is hosted by Streetwear Today (stw2d). We are very happy to announce that we are going to throw a massive YUM YUM next Friday, Sep. 24th at this very joint. During the day the Stüssy gang will present what they have accomplished and how they have developed during the last 30 (!!) years.

We are quite eager to open up the dance floor since a lot of you folks usually have to come down to Duisburg and we couldn’t think of a better way to make it up to you guys. Also there will be a second floor featuring DJ Kaos (MySpace) and Paul Mogg (MySpace). So you’ll be in for a real treat.

Dudes and dudettes, it is already that time of the month. This Saturday, Sep 18th you’ll be in for a treat with DJ duties up to Tand Williams and D-Nice! who already team up on Friday and continue their carnage on Saturday to bring you the latest in YUM YUM music and sound.

We’re looking forward to a neat party with a lots of friends and smiling faces. Doors open at 11pm as usual but I suggest to be an early bird since the holidays are over and there will be most likely a queue outside. Just saying… ;-)

Since the beginning of YUM YUM dates back over 5 years we thought it might be nice to share all our reworks and edits we made over the years with y’all – starting today. Not only you’ll get a ton of original work over the next weeks but also you’ll see how we developed over time and boy we came a long way.

I really don’t know a song to start with so I’ll just pick the one which came to my mind first. I can remember Chrome calling me and asked for an acapella to incorporate in an Al Green song. So I sent the vocals over and here is the resulting remix:
