My main girl and overall YUM YUM sweetheart Coco told me about this track like ages ago and i kept forgetting to put it online, then my buddy & co-author on chromemusic Danny, just recently hit me up with the video to Zaz amazing live version of this tune and its more than worth sharing. The lady must be big in france by now. Support her, the entire LP is worth checking out and Je veux keeps humming in my ear.

Not really much of an REM fan here, although i know their musics great and all, but this video, with its visuals and even this particular song, seem to strike a cord in me. Like it pretty much. Give it a try and dont listen with sadness in you, but more froma cheerful point of view and you will enjoy it.

Canadian folk pop singer Jenn Grant was utterly new to me just a few days ago, until a friend of mine (had to be a girl) sent me this video. Think it really has some fun-filled uplifting swing and sound to it. Good music to forget these cold & short days. “Honeymoon Punch” is her 2nd album and i can only recommend it if you are into that type of sound. Here is the introductory track of her album, go check the lady and her superb 2nd album out. What a lovely voice and this has to be my favourite track of the entire album:

If you havent heard of Klever yet, on this side of the atlantic, well be in for a treat, the mans almost like one of our people, and as his & our buddy Hannibal so eloquently put it: “he blows my mind every time!”. Our man Creathief is the one who will bring him through, the other date in germany will be in Frankfurt on Feb 11th @Cocoon.
Klevers history is story best read by yourself, but it goes deep and he is another member of the infamous Allies crew, that also included A-trak & dj Craze, so you know where this will be going musically.

Another great unsigned act with better pop music than anything on the charts.”this house is falling apart”. no snobbish hipster rubbish, but pure fun and an overall positive vibe! check out Walk the Moon on Bandcamp and buy their material, i just did, these guys deserve it and it definitely worth it. only 9$ anyways (thats like 2 coffees anywhere in Europe). not trying to make you an itunes customer here (at all!!!) but independent, unsigned bands via bandcamp deserve it! there’s a huge difference between a multinational corporation and some music making geezers from Ohio with a homemade video!
