Kygo – Nothing Left (The Golden Pony Remix)

Outstanding remix of Kygo’s ‘Nothing Left’ by emerging brooklyn duo The Golden Pony and if i would play electronic music in clubs, this would definitely be one of my songs to play at the next party. Either way, let’s take a look what they have to say about it:

“We remember seeing Kygo’s remix’s on Soundcloud a few years back and thinking that it was a fresh and interesting sound. Little did we know he would ultimately create a whole new sub genre of music, and that his signature metallic plucks are now being incorporated into a wide variety of musical styles from Trap to Pop music!
The vocal in “Nothing Left” really grabbed us as it has a soulful, almost gospel quality, which is something we gravitate towards. We sped up the vocal considerably to get it to a house music tempo (which luckily worked out), and then worked on getting some bangin’ bass and drum rhythms that will fit into our dj sets!

Amazing Growth: Hippie Sabotage – Able To See Me (Tali Kouch Flip)

I’m deeply into Cali’s own Hippy Sabotage and the musical spheres they create since day one. Figured out that dates back to some day in July 2013 when they first released a video on vimeo (that’s gone by now btw.) using their ‘Stay High (Tove Lo Flip)‘ when only a hand full had them on the radar, i guess. But that doesn’t really matter to me. What’s far more important is, that the original video, which only has seen a handful of views compared to the mentioned one, was far better because the main character Chanelle Elise fits perfectly to the mood of the song :)  No offence Tove Lo – only love – you’re a real beauty and i like the kind a ‘Smack My Bitch Up’ styled-video. But Take a closer look – maybe you think the same way. She would fit again on this one too…It’s nice to see Hippy Sabotage grow on a musical level. Chapeau! They used the beautiful voice of Toronto’s 19 year old singer/songwriter Tali Kouch on this one.

Oh Wonder – All We Do (LYAR Remix)

Very calm and melodic remix of Oh Wonder’s All We Do by german duo LYAR. It’s by far their strongest remix, even though good old producer me, could go into minor details like the rim snare that’s a bit too much or how people will label the keys as tropical, even though they are not, but all in all this is definitely one of the strongest mixes of any Oh Wonder song and it does the tune just, by keeping and partly even enhancing “All we do’s” overall feel and emotional key.  This should be repackaged and released as an original tune, and it could do wonders for Oh Wonder and build a new kind of momentum, that has kind of decreased after their monthly releases came to a halt.

Enjoy this little beauty, let it infuse you with reveries and have a great day.

Lisa Mitchell – Neopolitan Dreams (Sonnengruss Remix) [Free DL]

Another new (but actually old) offering from new favourite act Sonnengruss. We are still overwhelmed by ‘Day & Night‘, which held #1 on The Hype Machine for several days and that’s pretty darn awesome for a newcomer. Although not an official follow-up, since it’s an old mix of theirs, Lisa Mitchell’s beautiful ‘Neapolitan Dreams’ got it’s 2014 remix, and it got released on soundcloud a year later. This is what they said about it:

“This remix was originally scheduled for release last year (Sept 2014). It will finally see the light of day at the end of this year.”

Mark Ronson – I Can’t Lose Ft. Keyone Starr (Pomo Remix)

I think there is no denying in the fact that we fully support Mark Ronson on Chrome Music since day one. His music is always uplifting and every production is neat. Therefore you “can’t lose” in using his music and bring your own interpretation to it . Brilliantly remixed by canadian producer Pomo as always. My personal fav. until today is his ‘Sade – Nothing Can Come Between Us‘ edit, i’m going to post here during the next few days.
