I don’t think if you say commercial means to be publicly acceptable, what’s wrong with that?
As long as you are not ashamed of anything you write if you’re a writer, as long as you’re not ashamed of anything you perform if you’re an actor, and I’m not ashamed of anything.
This is the area I know. But I think innate in what Herb says is the suggestion made by many people that you can’t have public acceptance and still be artistic. And, as I said, I have to reject that.”

Introducing Matoma…
We listened to his stuff – not too long ago, were convinced of his production skills, especially since he was the only one that managed to come up with a more than decent Marlon Roudette remix – ps the ONLY one! And a rather bad Biggie version – but skip that one and you get a proper picture of the kid. Even Kygo didn’t get all his tunes right, but that is called different tastes in music – i guess. You could describe him as a new kid on the emerging tropical scene, which is, along the ruling folky deep house scene, another new remedy for that unbearable tech noise rubbish that has been invading our eardrums in the past few years, but far from that i smell another musical quality in him, like i so often do in Scandinavian artists. He crates musical landscapes that feel like fantasy lands that seem to evolve endlessly and his remixes and tunes have heart and transport emotion, and that does count in a unnecessary stream of musical and informational overload.
I skipped his name on our blog before, since all the heads that are into the tropical side of music already followed him on Facebook (translation: being lazy). But here he comes with a new offering and this remix is being released officially – so big up fella and for everyone out there it’s definitely time to check him out!

Introducing Lost Frequencies.
A few years back we had the pleasure of making another promising man from belgium popular in germany and after that throughout europe. The then still unknown man called Stromae, who was somehow linked to one of our Djs was played literally at every spot our djs played throughout germany and was offered by us to multiple labels, until Universal music finally snatched him away, with an offer he simply couldn’t refuse and went on to make history, by becoming one of the very few selected artists in history to top the european charts with a french song. We even had him play at our venue in Berlin when he went to Number 1. But enough with the past, here’s something promising – maybe for future days.
This here’s another talented young man from belgium, whose edits & songs i very much enjoy. Instead of being the main act he is a young up and coming producer that we found out about, a few moons ago, when most of our djs wouldn’t stop playing his take on the RHCP’s Snow. I guess the man could go far – if he stays uncompromising. He has now scheduled a release on Armin Van Buurens Deep House Imprint, who are good friends ouf ours, and i have to say it’s an official win. He seems to be right up our alley.
