House / Electronic / Techno / Nu-Disco / Deep House / Garage

This is my jam of jams, right about now! Musical mastermind Peshay sent this heavy, heavy tune through 1-2 weeks ago and i have been killing it ever since. This is proper Uk style d&b (pardon me – London sound), released on V-recordings beginning of march – so a brand spanking new release with no expiry date (the whole ep is a killer btw). A welcome switchup to the downtempo madness of today – no wonder dubstep prducers look up to these pioneers that paved the way for no-nonsense producers of non-conformist sounds that become the trademark of the Uk Dance scene, despite the fact that them major labels and a&r’s tried to sell us all this pop band shit back in the 90’s (as well). Funkster mixes really well with whatevers on your plate before, since it belittles every other tune (like ivan drago did apollo) and leaves you craving for more. An uplifting tune that hits the floor really hard and that has a punch to match. No noise, pure feel good vibes written all over this one – deservedly called Funkster! Ps Get the Ep and check out track #6 called “Together”, which had people jumping around in a frenzy last saturday.

Ps @Vanessa, since i know you’re stalking me : High heels + going apeshit = bad combination! lol… and you should feel bad….hahahaha

On a sidenote: The man did the best, and up to this date still enjoyable version, of Adele’s Rolling in the deep a few years back, besides the many game changing records he released throughout the years (but that’s another story). Just for fun and made a proper, proper late night funk tune for the floor – just ask anyone who knows how to really  move the crowd w/o premeditated sets and peer effect chasing sets. Believe you me, i see your girl on the floor. Completely ignoring the pop appeal of 2011’s biggest tune, its catchy vocals and going in in for the kill with that heavy, heavy funk and Adele incorporated and warped up in the sound. Someone knows how to fucking produce. Here is his take on Adeles “Rolling in the deep“. I guess i’m through with the ass kissing.

Lisa Mitchell – Neopolitan Dreams (Lalinea Remix)

Had the Sound remedy version of Lisa Mitchells Neopolitan Dreams up on this site some months ago, this version here by Lalinea is noteworthy as it stays more true to the original and it flows smoothly. Great edit and a little chill listen, but the Sound Remedy remix is unbeatable. This is a different flavour altogether.

The Lumineers – Stubborn Love (Fennec & Wolf Edit)

Last years surprise band, Lumineers is hard to post about when they already reached top ten stardom in the states but this little rework gives me an alibi to do so. The above picture fits the songs lyrics very well when all these bodily and mental reactions happening to outside actions are mind made and are ultimately a time bound trip to suffering. So to listen to your heart and to look inside means something completly different than what the preconditioned mind, with its selfish romatic ideas, makes it out to be. It is quite the opposite and much more. There is no way you can wrap your head around it. To listen to your heart, you have to understand or rather be in tune with the flow of things. Life can only unfold and the world can only be created when there is a no resistence, disguised as whatever it presents itself at times, and when there is stillness of mind – which is acceptance. And that my dear friends – includes the death of the idea of romance as we know it. Conditional Love is an outside guided resistence to what is. Cut this illusion and you are getting closer to what Carl Gustav Jung meant by “Listen to your heart”.

So what does this have to do with this song? Its a beautiful one and i enjoy it very much, even in this reworked version, but “its better to feel pain than nothing at all” is an unspoken mantra in the life of so many people that i know – all the ones dreaming and sleeping, one that i have experienced myself. It sums up the fear of looking inside and confronting one own self with what is. Its the death and end of content and its many storied which we think is the sum of ourselves – so ultimately our own death and the illusion we hold so dearly to be the “i” the “me”. But we are not “that” we are much more than that. Each one of us. It can only be experienced and not said. Acceptance is the way of the universe

By understanding this above saying with your mind & your idea of heart/romance you are “looking outside and dreaming”.

Songs for Sunsets – A State of the Art Roundup

A selection of some of the most inspiring but still emotionally charged tunes that are currently consolidating my means of audio consumption. If you have to read one post and listen to the according songs, let it be this one. Heavy and serious production presented in state of the art perfection with the cleverness and creativity to transport the human element that is so often lacking in this polished world of current sound designs. Each one of these tunes deserves at least a single post, besides a loud bravo, considering what other material has unrightfully already been given time and space on our website, the fact that i have packed this beautiful bouquet of unique flowers, is that i am really lacking the time right now to sit down for a few hours – but unlike so often before these are tunes that i didn’t mean to keep from you. Another ten to twenty tunes could have easily been added to this list, but that would have been too easy, don’t you think? Enough excuses and explanations, dive into this sound collage and be carried away by this sonic remedy. As always, ignore my words, for they are just words, and give it a good and considerate listen.
