Moving On (ft. Karra) by Sober Rob

Argueably the strongest track this week on the interwebs. I digs it too so here it is folks. @Zael – Here is one more push!

Here’s his track info:

Following his recent releases with Pham, Alexander Lewis, and Oshi, Sober Rob teams up with Karra to produce a song soaked in emotion with soaring vocals, rattling bass lines, and progressive synths. ‘Moving On’ showcases Rob’s ability to balance experimentation with accessibility, and this is the defining line that continues to tie his music together: it’s beautiful and comfortable at some points, dirty and unexpected at others. He builds it up slowly before he rips it apart, like dropping a house of cards into a paper shredder. By melding these two polar opposite elements together, ‘Moving On’ embodies a sound completely unique to Sober Rob.

Pure Summer Vibes! SEASIDE HIGHLIFE “Sideways” by The YUM YUM’s

Soundcloud is over and Spotify is the new playground. This track came out 5 months ago and it’s more than destined for the summer time and beyond, much further beyond. Pretty much like Matt Simmons or many of the other tracks with that beach, tropical, summer feel in mind. It has amassed over 3 Mio plays so far (!!) and is grinding out loads of plays on different college radios and on Spotify on the daily, while it’s still far from peaking! . Funny how that all changed and Spotify alone is the driving force behind this tune, w/o any promotion whatsoever. Let’s see where Spotify pushes this tune to show its dominance and make it among the first tunes to climb the ladder from within Spotify to the outside world…So now here is the first “promotional post” for Sideways which is the very first of many tunes to come by Seaside Highlife. Reminsicent of many things like Milky Chance (Songwriter), Kungs (Horn Drop), Matt Simmons (Tropical Feel) and many more along the lines. Pure summer time feel and feel good fun. Plus that funk feel gives me the goosebumps. “I see you dancing…” Have a greta summer!

Oriion – Live Another Lie

via GIPHY

“…the track is casually floating into your subconscious like a breeze on a night drive through nameless, neon-lit cities with the windows down…” , yes I agree. Oriion – definitely someone to keep an eye on and to follow his journey.

Here in the Riverside Studios (Berlin) he is working hard on an album with the irish-swedish producer Lindahl. From the start the pair surged towards a sharply modern sound coupled with the depth of the decades of music and culture that influenced them. You can hear the playful between-the-beats vocals of Prince, Daft Punk’s slick and funky rhythm section, all with a heavy dose of David Lynch and late 80s culture for good measure. Melancholy and timelessness meet smart pop-sensibility and melodies that get under your skin without screaming for your attention. ORIION himself calls it “nostalgia pop”.

The Orion constellation from which his name stems is the brightest in the northern sky and it seems like it gives inspiration to the creative ones that are always travelling through time and space. Take a ride and let’s get lost together with his new Single, Live Another Lie…

Stay tuned for the official Video release on June 30 !

Lions Head – True Love (Lyric Video by Mi-Zo)

By far my favourite, arty lyric video that is out there. By now i got bored to death (no not by the religion of peace) but by all those animated fonts dancing in circles to give meaningless words from even more empty meaningless songs some kind of cucked beta meaning. This is honest and has nothing to do with ‘True Love’, and ever since i quit working with LNZHD, to chase my own ideas of music, i think their sound has improved a 100% and they went all the way! Ignacio has significantly matured and his new song is by far the best LNZHD i have heard this far. He fulfilled his vision of how lnzhd or actually he has to sound and come across, and it reflects the man i know better than what everybody else “in his corner” has been spoonfeeding him. Finally there is some sincerity and the sound is a bit rough around the edges, w/o over compromising and none of that teenage latin lover crap “industry connoisseurs” have been pushing on him (aka pushing their own agendas and careers). Also, very good job Tati & Eric – must have taken some nerves man! A lot of punching and pushing and screaming and having to do everything by yourselves! Best thing is you did it all by yourselves folks and doesn’t that feel just right?! Best damn feeling in the world. My favourite piece of non-goatfucker music out there. To everybody reading this, make sure your artists get off that R&B fagfest happening atm. Very well an international tune and a definitive WIN. I see this going places!

Maybe you now understand why i was against that whole early major label signing. Give acts room to breathe first. Godspeed!

Koni Feat. Rakan – LA Luv

via GIPHY

In recent years german producer Koni left a brand in the music scene with his trademark sound – a clever mix of dance with urban, dancehall and tropical elements. Constant consecutive hits lead him to over 50 million plays just on Soundcloud. He recently dropped his first original “Mad About You” featuring Danelle Sandoval, that received an enormous amount of support leading to a whoppin’ 2.5 million streams on all platforms within 3 months and has hit No 1 on Hypem 3 days straight.
“LA LUV” is the follow up single to ‘Mad About You’.It is a collaboration between Koni and the american singer/songwriter Rakan who lyricly processes feelings of missing out by not living in L.A and his day dreams about his imagined L.A. life in form of a love song. The mix of chilled vibes, catchy vocals and a hauntingly ingenious drop make this track a true summer gem.
