The whitest post alive

Whitest Boy Alive stuff recently sneaked onto my iPod without me noticing it. I kinda like it so here we go… first we have some funky stuff called “High  On The Heels”.

a late introduction to Nneka

A couple of our readers told me some time ago to write about Nneka, but somehow she just found her way into my itunes but never on the blog. Anyways, since this rmx is making its rounds right now, check her out and maybe this is your introduction to her music.

Hot Chip – Take It In

The british electropop gangsters who cannot brag with their bling bling but with a grammy nomination in 2009 are back in business – “Whoop-Whoop!”

I must confess that the track is really no club-sound anymore, maybe they are fed up with the whole disco scene or they want to create something new for the dancefloors. This would make sense as there`s still that club-bassdrum between all the creepiness of this song :)

No matter what their plans really are you shouldn`t miss this track:

Damian Marley & Nas collaborating & sampling african music

Legendary ethiopian jazz musician Mulatu Astatke’s “Yegelle Tezeta” was first used in Jim Jarmusch’s film “Broken Flowers” and has since appeared on Optimo Espacio’s “Sleepwalk” LP. Damian Marley, who will be the main producer of the forthcoming collabo-album between Nas & Damian Marley entitled “Distant Relatives” sampled Mulatu Astatke’s “Yegelle Tezeta” for this brilliant Track “As We Enter”. Enjoy!
