Music

3 Nights by Dominic Fike

Good buddy, music philosopher Sigi showed me this little gem while we were out, having a drank last week (still owe u 10 bucks man! ). A nice young artist who they (Columbia Rec) rightfully signed as a new international act. And it seems like they are giving this kid time to breathe and unfold artistically. Kudos to that policy.

Phenomenal young, 22 y old, kid who is destined for big things. You can hear his hip hop upbringing and artistic background w/o him ever overdoing it, the more the song unravels. Came out a month ago, but considering how long it takes for an unknown artist or song to break through the general awareness threshold in 2018, it still is pondering as a new tune imho.

Happy little gem that just crept on top of my playlist in no time at all. No attitude or anything braggadocious about it – just a nice little tune that you will be whistling along to, in no time at all. Give it a go —> Link Farm

Temple Haze x narou – If I Could Be Yours (Premiere)

If I Could Be Yours‘ is a ballad, conceptualised as an equivocal and psychedelic narrative into the different ways love can be perceived. The song is a tribute to the idea of love; how we can see and feel love as this transformative entity.
‘With this track I felt a calling to channel my mothers energy into the songs essence, as she inspired me to be authentic to myself ‘, Temple Haze says.
Temple started his journey into music on the road, hitchhiking through America and Europe, working on organic farms, living an off-the-grid lifestyle, busking on the streets and finding his way as a vagabond. After nearly 4 years on the road He moved to Berlin to settle into the vibrant artistic community. Since then the Washington, DC native has been making waves in Berlin’s underground music scene. He is best known for his collaborations as a singer and co-composer of Bakery, featured vocalist with Sam Shure, and currently in collaboration with the producer narou. Temple’s live repertoire includes solo acoustic shows, full band shows, downbeat ableton live sets, mystical DJ sets, and ambient soundscapes. All in all, Temple has played at over 200 shows around the world, as support act for Crystal Fighters (with Bakery) and Rising Appalachia (Solo). He released his debut solo EP “Anotherside” on February 2018. His musical journey now starting with ‘If I Could Be Yours’ is much influenced by the vibe of James Blake, the honest and raw songwritings by Frank Ocean, Jordan Rakei, Moses Sumney and Daniel Caesar.
‘If I Could Be Yours’ is based in Gospel. Influenced and motivated by his mother who’s a gospel and choir singer, Temple Haze is named with artists like Daniel Caesar, Moses Sumney, Frank Ocean, Jordan Rakei, Sampha. The production by the Berlin based producer narou who is well known for the production of James Hersey since 2014, reminds a lot of Nick Hakim.

C.O.W. 牛 – Niu (feat. Miku Hatsune)

Any beat-lover who hasn’t heard about this unique producer combo gets an easy start into their work with this banger. It’s all the producers hailing from China and Germany delivered so far without a single moment of redundancy. The known atmospheric, heavy chords and bass match a beautiful melody, lifting your spirit – making you cease all the memories summer has left.

And it wouldn’t be C.O.W. 牛 had they not found someone very special to collaborate with on this piece. With Hatsune Miku they worked with someone right in their league. The vocaloid software voicebank developed by Crypton Future Media – usually embodied by a 16-year-old girl with long, turquoise twintails – gets a darker, more grown-up and elaborate touch in this production.

C.O.W. 牛 delivers a truly international, truly digital, truly millennial, truly great production.

Offical Release: Mat McHugh – PFOS (YUM YUM Version)

Mat has always been one of our ChromeMusic favourites going back as long as to the very first Sweet Serenade mixtape, and we felt blessed when we had the chance to work and especially connect with him. He is a special kind of person, you can hear it in everything he does, and by now Mats someone i trust and call a friend.

Only problem is that our tete-a-tete happened a few moons ago and for even many more reasons PFOS and the other ten tracks we did together have been delayed, repacked, and whatnot over and over again… I am super glad that we finally have this one here in our hands, and I am actually proud (you don’t hear me saying that often) of having such a strong track here that does Mats lyrics and deeper underlying intentions just, and actually manages to transform “A pocket full of shells”, as the original was called, into something moody, something else, with a different feel, a completely different mood. Hope you don’t miss our Spotify Link – collect and hooray we finally are back to making YUM YUM Versions, edits, remixes, originals and are releasing them officially.

Of course me referring to a track as strong is subjective, but gladly hearing a tune of your own creation is rather rare …and besides it’s my website so i can say what the EFF i want. Betway recension här

PFOS is a moody monster. Just kidding, not getting high of my own supply here, just dig the vibe and glad to be making music that directly appeals to me… after all the compromises i made to learn while making my steps in the music business. Anyhow i sincerely hope you dig it too and dig the video we did for it.

Andrew Applepie – Feel It In My Face

I feel it in my face – but better. This track gives me all sorts of feelings. Andrew Applepie, this lovely producer, multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, you name it, shows us a very sensitive side of his in this ode to… well, we’ll probably never know. But does it matter? This one’s cute, it’s sweet, it’s beautiful and I feel it everywhere!
