A favourite of mine for some time now. Had this short and simple drum edit lying around for some time now and actually never played it. But here it is have fun with it, i’ll include it on my latest mix and start playing it immediatly, starting this weekend. (Might have been around for some time now, but somehow it never caught on in Germany as it did in the Uk). Have fun.

N.e.r.d Hot-N-Fun Boys Noize Rmx (Super Rookie YUM YUM edit)

By now you have all surely heard the biggest remix in 2010 so far. Boys Noize took the N.e.r.d ÜBER-Anthem and turned it into something even more big roomy worth screaming for, okay scratch big room – i’ll try to rephrase that, into an ÜBERbig Festival Anthem. Super Rookie, a recent act and remixer on Gomma records and what not, and an essential and vivid part of our YUM YUM set up, made a short but neccessary edit for the not-so-big room but regular club sets upon request. My request lol, i played it out loud last weekend and it took the turn down butterroad, as expected. Have fun – for a proper 320 drop me a line on twitter.

True Story by my buddy Passion from Bass Ill Euro: Some bright germans were requesting the tune “Cameroon Boy” very pushy while Passion was playing. He obviously never heard of the song and said he didnt have that tune on him, but they didnt quit. They kept on bothering him and they even went as far as to claim that it was an official world cup song, bc the WC is in Africa, and Cameroon is a part of Africa (Wow!). At the end of the night, when the Alcohol, stripped off all shyness, they were even singing the song for him…

They misheard the lyrics to Rihannas “Rude Boy” and turned it into “Cameroon Boy”.

This is what happens when two great ones meet. These two tunes were just to tempting to not blend them. Each oen being a hit in its own world, the two combined kinda make the crowd glow and i really enjoy playing this tune, so enjoy this little treat, a brandnew YUM YUM version featuring Snoop Doog and everybodys favourite 80ies Electronic pop duo: Chromeo. thats Rich on the right side, whom i havent seen for a good ten years! the other man is impressive rap talent slash rapper slash fellow tech nerd, Cool-aide. Seriously not much i have to offer on this post but for those of you who have never heard of Rich, there is a soundbyte/video below and his various social connects. And i must say i have met a lot of positive people in my time and its always nice to reconnect with them – you always attract what you are. Rich has been busy as always – growing and glowing, and besides working with Q-tip and what not, his pride and joy is his little 2 year old kid who is getting all Joe Chambers on the drums, and daddy lets him use the cdjs (of course not the vinyl – still carrying that to the altar – lol) @Richmedina – here is a tune i remixed/did some time back, just to keep updating each other from now.my man.
