Always a favourite among the YUM YUM crowd was anything by Johnny Cash. Even did some mixes of him 8 years ago when one of his last official Albums came out, before it was real cool to cross genres like it is common now (thank god). I’ll look those two remixes of ours up and post it when i find them. This one is a decent Pete Rock Rmx for the Legend. Play it in the early hours and whenever you feel like hearing some good music. “But i shot a man in Reno just to watch him die…”

Dujeous “So chill/ Wintertime”

Another nice Hiphop tune, sampling my favourite – the Steve Miller Band – and using the samples in a high pitched balloon voice just like Jigga and the early Knaye used to do, getting away with it. Nice tune, all about the sample as so often in Hip Hop. Although Dujeous has a good sense and style of what tracks to pick and sample. Well done track.

MAP: How Star Wars changed the World

Very impressive Map of how many things Star Wars and the “old” Lucs had an impact on. The one thing it doesn’t show is how much of an influence Star Wars was for my generation. How much it changed the beliefs, ideas and views of an entire generation that passed t on to the next. You can see that in all your modern day environment and thought patterns. And i am not talking nerds.

Dj Passion of Bass.Ill.Euro playing at YUM YUM Moscow this Thursday, Dec 4th. If you are around drop by for a nice little round of YUM YUM before thsi years over. Even met up with Passion yesterday after he had the strict Russian Visa regulations out of the way. Here is the Facebook Moscow teaser text: “For the last time this year we are throwing our YUM YUM session at Solyanka. The next one is only in February (January would be the 1st of January and thats a no-go), so come and party with us this Thursday. We had invited DJ Beware from Vienna/ HK but due to visa problems we’ll have to move that gig into the next year. Nevertheless we organized a special international treat for you. We invited DJ Passion from the Bass Ill Euro crew to play for you. Passion is playing across Europe and has his residency there. He is playing a nice mash-up mix of hip-hop, baile-funk, baltimore and electro.

YUM YUM Karlsruhe coming up

This Friday YUM YUM goes down in Karlsruhe again. It will be Tand Williams first time at
“Die Stadtmitte” and the people over there can expect some pure and soulful YUM YUM sound this time. The last months were kind of difficult due to a none proper organisation at Die Stadtmitte, but new people are in order now and it seems like things are finally starting to move in the right direction.
Hope you´ve seen some posters and flyers in your town…
