At our last Topfriend Party in Munich, two weeks ago, we were handing out the first hundred copies of Topfriend Mix #1, which was done by Schu and me. Now finally here it is for free download and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I do. Watch out for the next Topfriend Party in January 2009 at Munich’s Registratur. More on that soon. Until then I recommend visiting the global warming party on friday which features brazil’s edu k and our TopFriends, N.Schiegl, DJ Raph and K.Augenring from the Schlachthofbronx boys, who did have some blog appearance lately.

88 Keys “The Death of Adam”

Always been a fan of 88-keys ever since i had my record shop, 8 years ago. After this years mixtape – the album “the Death of Adam” dropped in November and i actually think its fantastic – far from being a hip hop album, this is packed with good produced, modern, up to date tunes.  Outstanding album: the last time i said this about a hiphop album must be years ago, but give it a listen: i just posted 2 tunes and hope you get any chance to buy it here (Amazon doesn’t work outside the US), but this man is definitely worth supporting so try buying it somewhere online (cause its not gonna be in any shops close for sure) – and if not google it and i’m sure you’ll stumble upon some download link. Spread the word. Man i just remembered a tune from 88_keys that i used to play till the 10″ was gone – it was an instrumental track called “Montreux”. So if anyone has that tune, please hook me up…

Jay-Z & Santogold

Been all over the Blogs last week, but i was lazy. Jigga samples and features Santi. Here is the according video, plus the remix of  Santis “Shove it” that i have been playing for the past year, and a dj friendly mix that i found on my favourite forum, that incorporates both tracks – goes from the original into Jiggas version.

Santogold with Helmut the lampshade live on stage. Helm doing his workout and oogum boogum dance routine, man i can tell how wasted he is. Ps Whats with the “I love crack” tee?!? And i got told that the whole crew was pissed, due to the weak P.A. that was simply couldn’t provide no proper boom.
