We get sent so much music every single day, and we hardly have time to go through it, just by the sheer amount of it. I took some time out to check the latest stuff we got sent and honestly a huge percentage is simply not up my alley, but there is some great music along the mails. And here let me share some it with you. ps to all the artists and promoters, thx for sharing this material with our readers.
II) Good old buddy Dj Vadim contacted me just recently, he found out who was behind these YUM YUM parties, lol and he was also attending one in Cologne, when i was there, but on a more (or less) serious note: The mans been busy as always and came up with a new album that he sent me through. The Project is called “The Electric” and we are gonna have a full on feature this week. Here is a tune i selected as a ashort preview:
We get far too many mixtapes and i noticed this one cause it had a direct relation to us, since two of my tracks are featured on it. Too bad the soundcloud link wasnt shareable, i had to download it, then reupp it plus convert it to make it a bit smaller. too much handling fella, but anyways its a nice mix of tunes that i like and here is what Dj Create wrote: “Hey, I’ve been loving your blog for a while now, and there’s a few tracks on this mix that I originally found through you guys, so have a listen, let me know what you think!”
Some really entertaining material here – enjoy. start it off with a nice hip hop tune, thats way better than the video, but amateurism is the new professionalism, if i dare measure that by the black eyed peas Superbowl gig, lol. this guys reallly on point with this neat tune. ps dude send the mp3 through…
Two fine tunes by my favourite dubstep artits “Doorly” and “Rusko“. The first one is pretty fresh track from Doorly’s upcoming EP (the EP title is still unreleased, Crown Jewels is the name of the label – sorry for mixing that up!) featuring UK’s dancehall queen Lady Chann. The second one called “SNES Dub” is just an old but entertaining track I recovered wandering around the internet (it’s from Rusko’s Lost Dubs Volume 1). Speaking of entertainment, do you still remember the twitter war between pothead Rusko & Deadmau5 from the famous DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) in the middle of july? If not, here are a few lines to bring back memories:
“According to Rusko’s twitter, the Mau5 went running to some security guards after catching the dubstep master lighting up backstage. This did not sit too well with Rusko, so he did what any respectable man would do: hopped on the closest internet box and let loose via twitter”.
Hilarious! In case you want to see their verbal clash you should go there and aks yourself how to define grown men. Nonetheless it’s fun to read!
P.S.: Don’t forget, if you like their tracks, show them some love! And yeah, I know that the DEA is an American institution so actually that joke won’t work with Deadmau5 since that guy is Canadian.
The week was definitively too hot to look for good new music (around 30+ degrees most of the time – that’s pretty much for Munich), therefore I just made you a short summary of my favourite dubstep tunes right now (old & new ones).
For all our foreign visitors: On the picture above, you can see the legendary “Eisbachwelle” @ “Englischer Garten”. If you are planning a trip to Munich, this spot is worth a visit!
And another legit remix! This time from UK’s Dubstepper Doorly. Honestly, I don’t like the original track at all, but this remix simply makes me wanna hit the clubs!
i don’t know how this song made its way on my lapper, but it goes down a storm every time i play it. 2008s most played pop tune gets the dubstep remix and – honestly – this is the only way left to play this tune. ps @ all djs – dubsteps real nice, but do not make your dubsteps breaks – and honestly thats what it mostly is in ecclectic sets – too long. it often takes away from the energy – the unexpected breakdown and an in your face rawness has a way more dramatic effect on the floor – then constantly staying on one tempo.
sorry BS – that goes for any dj and any sound, not just dubstep. i hate nights that are either 130bpm or 100bpm or whatever. 2010s approaching – Wake up!
