a very, very long … musical roundup :)

January 11, 2012

i have been off the radar for a minute, building our own venue, i mean proper handywork and figuring out the feel of things, not too much the style at first, but the soul is something that eminates from within in my humble opinion, so i was worrying about the feel of things and i think i pointed it into the right direction, and now the ship sets sail, which means i have a lot of catching up to do on my very own website and thats why this is gonna be a long, long post. there are tons of sounds & tunes around me, so let me sum up a few for you which havent yet made it up on our website.

Glory - Jay-Z feat. Blue Ivy Carter

great little gem by jigga. soul samples + jigga = a win/win. Glory – Jay-Z feat. Blue Ivy Carter by Warhol2011

Amsterdam Klezmer Band - Papa Chajes (Basement Freaks Remix)

nothing new if you are used to balkanstylee – just worth mentioning cause its got that bump

Eddie Kendricks - "Keep On Truckin' (Robin "T" Treier Mix)"

Robin, a good friend of the entire family and great mind when it comes to taste and style did his rework of this soul anthem, thats more like a oldies radio favourite these days. Robin gave it that essential spin. i like  Eddie Kendricks – “Keep On Truckin’ (Robin “T” Treier Mix)” by Robin “T” Treier

LDR – Video Games (Re.You Edit)

December 29, 2011

Chris Urban, a friend of ours, put this online a few weeks back, and i simply wasnt online enough to get any kind of blog work done, in between renovating the new club, travelling and taking care of all kinds of stuff. And somehow none of our guys did, but this is just too good not to be dropped. So enjoy this fantastic rework of Lana Del Reys “Videogames”. The original has just been voted song of the year by a whole lot of magazines left and right of the Atlantic. This is an epic mix right here by Re.You of the Keine Musik guys!

Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know (Santé Edit)

November 28, 2011

Santé Somebody from Santé on Vimeo.

Berlin based producer Santé has delivered the best of all “Somebody That I Used To Know” Remixes. Although he only calls it an edit, I personally think it is a real Remix compared to all other versions out there. Pure tech house knowledge keeping the vibe of the original. This version has taken Berlin dancefloors by storm. It is more than a tool for the best dancefloors in the world!

Santé is a pro when it comes to techno, he released on Rekids, Souvenir and has new one out on Cocoon together with Frank Lorbeer, he has engineered Tiefschwarz’s recent album and loads of their tracks and tours the world as a DJ.

I enjoy pumping this track in front of not-only-techno-audiences and see them love dancing!

Barbara Acklin – I Did It (scratchandsniff re-rub)

November 28, 2011

This Song is another beautiful soul edit by scratchandsniff. I like those simple cut and paste jobs, staying true to the original. We already had some of his tunes on the blog, so if you’re interested in, follow the link.

Top Tunes are coming a bit late this month – we had our 7th anniversary this month and we kept busy doing these 8 bday mixtapes for you as well as the new YUM YUM Mixtape “The Dude”. Plus we had some issues with our servers (were under attack) and took us some time to figure that out, but its all good now, you just need to empty your browsers cache or wait for it to be gone in a few. So, hope you dont mind us being late. but here you go with this months Top Tunes Selection. Enjoy
