These guys have just recently surfaced on Soundcloud (a few months back) and already have an enormous popularity and following, and all these guys cant be wrong. These guys must have been around for quite some time now with them only making edits of some of the nicest soul, funk, boogie, rock and disco gems and their blog scracthNsniff sporting a packed classic record rack, much like some of mine – which is only cool for vinyl nerds and collectors, so i guess they know their turf. They have a total of 38 edits so far up on Soundcloud and there are new ones coming weekly. Enjoy the tunes, and even if you know most of them – some are real digger items but mostly they are very well done, basic and true to the original but thats how i like my classics. Just seen that chrome is going nuts on a nice disco tune. Wondering if this beautiful edit by great Rayko will be his new favourite for today.

Supposed to be a new segment on the blog, where i introduce a few edit masters that have caught my attention while surfing Soundcloud, which gives a perfect opportunity to a few folks like this man here to showcase all the edits, remixes and versions they have made of well known tracks and tracks which have literally been begging for a retreat. Leftside Wobble is a great one to start with a wide selection of necceassry retreats and fixes of soulful, disco, loft tunes, that you have all heard before. His Acid & House refixes lose me a bit, but thats just me. Here is a selection of tunes, that i really dig of his long list on Soundcloud.

Ike & Tina – Living For The City (LW Rework) Mastered by Leftside Wobble
Teddy Pendergrass – Get Down, Get Funky (Leftside Wobble Edit)-320K by Leftside Wobble
I got so annoyed with the popularity of Adeles track and how overplayed and overremixed (it that even a word) that tune became in no time. But then, Paul played me this when i stopped by in the UK for a tea (not a clichee, i swear).
Seriously…. Hands down, best version of Adeles track, a funk summertime monster, thats creeping up on you and it grows with every listen. Produced by YUM YUMs own Paul, no samples involved in this one. Give it a minute till the bass kicks in and all those little variations give it that serious Soul/Disco stomp. Expect to hear it on friday and actually everywhere else i play, this ones guaranteed to get the dance started on some serious oldschool loft flavour. Heavy funk bassline pushing Adeles song to another plateu, sending all those millions of remixes (except jamie xx + heatwave) to the curve and creating something new. This is my favourite version so far!!!
Thanks Paul, great inspiration here and yes yes, Its a YUM YUM version!

Have fun with this gem
