The Hackney Colliery Band drops their AMAZING debut album!

Hands down, this is what i have been waiting for! For all you horn addicts, these guys really make me enjoy the whole lot of their tunes! Finally they drop their debut album on the überawesome WahWah 45s Label – and EVERY song is great!

Pls suport these guys and their great debut record by buying their album right here . I got mine right away, really a fanboy over here. Might even do a second remix to one of their tunes, but w/o a free download. Even though i think our Africa (YUM YUM remix) elevated them to at least becoming known within the german scene. Support these guys, their genuine great compositions and a few greatly reinterpreted cover versions.

Supposed to be a new segment on the blog, where i introduce a few edit masters that have caught my attention while surfing Soundcloud, which gives a perfect opportunity to a few folks like this man here to showcase all the edits, remixes and versions they have made of well known tracks and tracks which have literally been begging for a retreat. Leftside Wobble is a great one to start with a wide selection of necceassry retreats and fixes of soulful, disco, loft tunes, that you have all heard before. His Acid & House refixes lose me a bit, but thats just me. Here is a selection of tunes, that i really dig of his long list on Soundcloud.

Another perfect summer tune is SBTRKTs Wildfire. Out on XXL Recordings, so make sure to get the original although the Drake rework is a neat gem as well. Both Versions added below. Have fun and make sure to have your volume all the way up and your bass cranking.

*Been listening to the original tune for a full 3 hours on a recent dj trip i took and that song got stuck in my head and getting it off repeat on my new Nexus was NOT an option! Love it
