Door #6 in our Advent Calendar!

Hey folks and everyone else, it has been exactly 7 years since i did my last honest, passionate YUM YUM Top Tunes. And exactly 14 years since i started the whole thing. So here we are ;) Crafted with flextape, this is just a solid selection of the latest released tunes, many moods, NPC feels for your sonic entertainment and soundtrack to life. All tracks were released within the last 4 weeks (with few exceptions). And it’s good to see that our own releases can keep up or do even better, with the quality new releases/songs out there. What used to be our remixes are now actual songs and quality material that can hang in our global top tune selection,.

Top Tunes are back – just as planned .And just like the good old days, it’s filled with our own versions, productions – the difference this time is that we own the copyright, and no tech giant is gonna bitch about it, or delete it. The technocracy is falling anyways. Long live the new land. Have fun with these sweet tunes and our new selection. Still prefer Mixtapes any day over any Playlist. But that’s coming too.

Door #1: Playlist of Tommy Montana Remixes

Much can be said about Tommy and pretty much everything of it is positive and most of it is right. I always liked Tommy bc he was an observer and appeared to be the Silent Guy, that knew and exactly understood the musical Zeitgeist. When playing music he added his own touch and showed his love and appreciation for what he liked. Compromises for the dancefloor, sure no problemo, but the magic and beauty of the real art of deejaying is still being able to turn it out and give it your personal touch, spin and je ne sais quois.

I think i actually deejayed only once with Tommy before i hit the brakes with the wheels. But this entire observation of what Tommy is about, comes from a sheerly psychological perspective, that you learn while deejaying. You get that ‘look’ for people’s behaviour – rational, aware and completely zoomed out – that sounds prejudiced but ultimately is almost always a 100% spot on. Tommy is that guy and his own mixes speak for himself, and even when producing music, said quality comes shining right through.

Here he is with his very own productions. his own tasteful niche of sound, if you love soul & hip hop based beats for the floor, which are designed & produced by a tasteful dj for djs,. He was and still is part of the clique we had going called YUM YUM.  I bounced for a minute but some of the guys kept on growing and glowing.
You can literally play anyone of these tunes and you won’t go wrong. Even the songs he picked for remixing, reimagining are picked tastefully. Happy Door One with this one!

 

Happy Birthday Chromemusic! 7 x 7! Seven new Mixtapes by our people, Love, Love, love

Chromemusic turns 7 today! And we are having a celebration tonight for our family & friends and i guess we are gonna have too much fun like Charlie Murphy (facebook addicts go here). And here, are as promised, 7 new mixtapes by most of our djs (act. 8), of course some are still missing but who cares. And we just realized  like 3 days ago that this weeknds our 7th anniversary with the website, so thanks to everyone involved for doing this on such short notice, inbetween traveling, working, love affairs, studying, break ups, moving houses and what not. The results are amazing. Schowi even did his mixtape on a train! And i had to lend a helping hand (recording wise) to some of our guys so there was zero time for a mix of mine, but i just put this one (YUM YUM The Dude Mix) online last week so no complaining k? You are gonna like what our guys had to offer. PS We are gonna do this again and way more often, cause its just too much fun!!! Proud of my people right here, aaaand as always LISTEN, LOVE & DOWNLOAD

YUM YUM Munich this Saturday @Praterinsel

Yes, we are back with a brandnew YUM YUM coming this Saturday @munichs Praterinsel. We did one here 3 weeks ago, the weather was fab, but like any new location (like Registartur, like Kongress, like Puerto) we ran into a few obvious difficulties, like the soundsystem, the lights and how to decorate both (act 3) rooms. These things will be taken care of and the djs (us) will have a booth + stage and some proper visuals, hahahaha… for sure this time. It was really hot inside and that will taken care of as well with an outside bar and an open air – area and a couple of fans inside! To cool us all of! Djs will be Chrome, Tand Williams & Tommy Montana.

See, where we are going… this gonna be a huge night and with a proper soundsystem to get a dance on, anyplace on the location not just the front rows! Really looking fwd to this one, since this time we are ourselves responsible for the soundsystem, the lights and everything – means more work, but also means we can have it our way! Looking fwd to a massive night and see you Saturday!!!
