Stop Me – Chocomang (The Smiths vs the Rootical record Crew mashup)

One of the few bearable Mashup tunes these days.. naw i’m kidding there are still brilliant ones out there, as long as they don’t use the same old same old overheard Jacko, Daft Punk etc . This is one of these tunes that sound so elegantly perfect that you do not even recognize it as a mashup. We all remember “the song” it from 4 years back when Mark Ronsons Smith meets Motown cover version of ‘Stop Me’ went to the top of the charts. Here is the original Smiths vocal from the 80ies mixed in a Roots manner. Enjoy

YUM YUM Folk Mixtape “Sweet Serenade” Vol 4 – compiled & a little bit mixed by chrome

A new Sweet Serenade mixtape, when travelling the sunny lands or hanging out anyplace in the sunshine and enjoying nature and life. And even if you are somewhere completly different i hope you feel the warm rays through this music i selected. Mind the subtitle “Give you the heavens and the sunshine”. Aalyiah – Try Again (a rare approvable remix, that is not an insult to the original)

Nice & smooth Aaliyah remix by ITFW – really having a hard time these days, even attempting to listen to a remix of one of these classic soul/ hip hop tunes that get slaughtered regularly by too many bedroom djs and that whole awful mashup scene. No, Aaliyah and Daft Punk dont mix, morons! Anyway Try again has been and still is (like most of her stuff) all time classic material, minus the remixes, except that 45 king remix that was on the original 12″. This remix really lifts it up to a chill 2011 spirit, that is so much lacking these days, and is in complete contrast to the original – which was a global floor killer. Sounds a bit like the Lunice material, not as musical though, but compatible from educated hiphop to irony misunderstanding hipster.
