New Raphael Saadiq Album “Stone Rollin”

Here are 2 track from his brandnew album ” Stone Rollin”. Still sticking with the 6oies vibe he started on his previous album, this one sounds to me like the consequence of a new found sound that Mr Saadiq seems to prefer. This one is not really up my alley at first glance, but i know that the best songs and albums have to grow on you and we have a lot of Saadiq fans, just like myself, that have a lot of patience with RS after all the beutiful music he has deliverd throughout the years and we have been eagerly waiting for this one. EDIT ***And just after having these two tunes on repeat for some 20 minutes i can assure you, these songs DO grow on you. Very mature, Mr RS!

SBTRKT – Wildfire

Another perfect summer tune is SBTRKTs Wildfire. Out on XXL Recordings, so make sure to get the original although the Drake rework is a neat gem as well. Both Versions added below. Have fun and make sure to have your volume all the way up and your bass cranking.

*Been listening to the original tune for a full 3 hours on a recent dj trip i took and that song got stuck in my head and getting it off repeat on my new Nexus was NOT an option! Love it

Mac Miller came up with this nice treat 2 days ago, sampling the Temper Trap, an with an already great band like TT and especially a song like this, there is absolutely no way you can go wrong. I added the original so you can make up your mind which one you like better. Didnt wanna keep this tune from you, enjoy it. Hudson Mohawke is a scottish producer who made quite a bit of ruckus for himself and has constantly been pounding his way into my eardrums for the past 2 years. first off… i like this man and his music… a lot, it sounds fresh, its definitely charming, has quite a soulful feel to it and its on constant replay at my house. although a couple of heads might know him and he has played at some nameful places (boiler room, sonar festival..), Lunice from Canada is actually still an open secret and a new name to the general public – so let this be an introduction to the ones that have never heard of him. way too many words… as always let the music speak for itself. and what unique music this is.
