We All Know This Song, But What This Guy Did To It 10 Years Ago… Perfection!

Pharrell – Frontin’ (Yam Who? Rework) 2014 Re-Mastered

This is one of those songs that sticks with you forever. This Yam Who version has been around for i guess a decade. Thank god Yam Who remastered it for todays standards. My vinyl version never got digitalized and so anothe rone of our YUM YUM classic tunes didn’t survive the digital transition. We never got around to properly honor this mans reworks and mixes but played every single one he dropped for as long as Yam Who? was active. Great, and i mean it, remix of a song that’s hard to trump! This one is hitting harder than this…

Seriously this remix in my ears is perfection and aren’t we all glad that it’s for free? Cause Pharrel and asong like that is hard to remix and you know…

The Next 24Hours De La Soul Are Giving Away Their Complete Music Catalogue As Free Downloads

via Guardian

“De La Soul want you to have all of their music for free. The American hip-hop group are celebrating their 25th anniversary by making their “entire catalogue” available, at no cost, on their website.

Starting today at 11am EST and continuing for 25 hours, visitors to De La Soul’s official site will be able to legally download the group’s complete discography, according to Rolling Stone. “It’s about allowing our fans who have been looking and trying to get a hold of our music to have access to it,” Posdnuos explained. “This is our way of showing them how much we love them.”

Most of De La Soul’s seven studio albums are hard to find on digital platforms: as hip-hop pioneers, their early records are filled with samples, making them difficult to license. “We can’t even have our music on iTunes,” Posdnuos revealed. While the group’s labels are still trying to clear the material for future sale, “it’s been a trying journey”, he said. Bizarrely, a brief online free-for-all seems the best way to get their songs into some fans’ hands.”

“Love You More…” A Few Sincere Songs About Love By Alexi Murdoch

“And in her smile I see something more beautiful than the stars.”

The Universe Is Singing A Song

No matter what you do and how you spend your Valentine’s Day here is a credo to live by: “Love is a state of Being. Your love is not outside; it is deep within you. You can never lose it, and it cannot leave you.”  And yes, you make the world a better place when you take the trash out of your head and don’t go on spilling it throughout the world. Right here and right now, we have to remember, time and again, to surrender to what is… already inside of you. Clean up within, over and over, again and again, and then you are able to surrender to Love, not the propagated idea of love but to what is already the true nature of your essence. You are love and for the first time you are able to love – starting of course by loving and accepting yourself first. And you will see it all connect, the universe unfold and things will become obvious to you, not the other “you” that loves to be involved in outside happenings, that is constantly restless and needs to be the centre of attention. It’s oxymoronic. You already are the centre of the universe as it is. The ‘real’ you is the universe itself. No need to look. So how can you prefer/dislike different parts of what you already are over other parts? Just follow the words “I Am” in meditation and you will find it sooner or later. ”

To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders.”

When your mind becomes still – over and over again – you will notice that you are nothing. That is knowledge. You will notice that you are everything. That is Love. And between the two is the path you go in life. No balance needed. The two are not reflections of outside duality. You are both and you are one. We are one.

These songs speak directly from my soul. Enjoy. Happy Valentine’s Day!
