DJ Wool feat Subtitle ‘Strobelight’ Out Now!

strobelight-cover-small-white

Here’s a little something that has been doing it for me for a while now… this track is the first release on Manny Montiel’s new label Little Owl Recordings, and also marks producer Glen Brady aka DJ Wool and L.A. expat, Subtitle’s debut single together. The sound they achieve is equal parts Hollywood House party and Dirty late night rave. Giggedy!

Check out the video for the new single below, I’m sure this is gonna be a big tune.

Here’s a couple tunes that have really been doing it for me recently… silly things like work have been leaving me with little time to find new music of late, but I’m happy to be able to share these with you (with the artists’ blessing!)

First up is Sharkslayer from Helsinki, sure you all know them already… loving this track right now, mostly because of the way the soulful little breakdown kicks back into the main riff… a real feel-good moment.

Also DJ Wool has kindly given us this… his remix of Izza Kizza’s “Hello Euro”, I’ve really been digging Wool’s style since I heard the WTF reminx… all his tracks have that infectious little something that just make you wanna bounce! Keep a look out for his next single “Strobelight”, I’m sure it’s going to be a big tune. More to come on Chromemusic from DJ Wool in the coming weeks, in the meantime… enjoy!

We will be joined by our good friend Woody Madera, party DJ extraordinaire and all round turntable genius!

Head on down early and grab a copy of the Yum Yum UK Vol5 CD!

No the aliens aren’t invading… but the Aussies are! Came across this release today from Adam Zae of Sydney based Troublemakers. They seem to be getting out and about a fair bit down under. Many thanks to Heath for this…

Recap of Secret Garden Party

Picture 17

Secret Garden Party was off the hook! We were only supposed to play for an hour, but the band before us finished early, and the next act was late… so in the end we got to play for over 90 mins! This required an on the fly reworking of the set (we’d pre-planned this one) but it all turned out fine thankfully.

The tent we were playing in was fantastic, it looked amazing and because it was Friday night and the start of the festival the crowd were there to get down. Started off pretty quiet with about 200 people but it quickly filled and by the end the tent was absolutely packed out, 1000+ people easy!

Thanks to everyone who came to see us play, the response was amazing and we’re still buzzing about it… massive thanks goes to Mr Man Make Music, DJ Sketchy who was running the Valley of Antics stage over the weekend… and a fantastic job he did too. We only hope we can make the return visit next year.

Unfortunately we couldn’t record the set, but we’ll record it asap and get it up on the blog. In the meantime check out some of the pics!
