Right now, Mura Masa is pretty much reigning supremly as the worlds best beatmaker. Loads of others who could claim the title, but no one nails the zeitgeist as perfectly as this man. Lovely little tune, that proves he can come up with proper written songs, instead of just beats. The programming and the clean kept production is so on point!
1) Hey Alex, Hey Drew – it is a honour for us to have this interview with you. Could you both introduce yourself shortly?
Well I am Alex, I wear glasses and I am from New York. – I am Drew and I have nice hair and I am from Maine.
2) Tell us your best moment of the year 2015 and what are you looking forward in 2016?
There were so many great moments to be honest, it’s very hard to pick just one, but playing Lollapalooza Festival and dropping Roses there comes to mind as one of our favorites. That and when Justin Bieber came out to our Shrine show in LA and did a few songs together!
For 2016, hmmmm coachella is going to be really exciting and our Red Rocks show, but we just have a ton of music ready now that we are really excited about!
3) Will you have some spare time in Munich before or after the show to discover the traditional & unique culture?
We better! We are obsessed with Schnitzel so we want as much of that as we can. We need a good tour guide though!
4) Give us some hint at any future project or collaboration that are in the works? – only if you can of course!
Hahah nice try, but we can say that Drew is singing on a bunch of the new stuff which is really exciting for us! We cant wait to hear what people think!
5) Who are your favorite 5 upcoming artists & tracks/productions at the moment?
Oh Wonder, Long Kings, Armnhmr, Rozes and Quinn XCII
6) As last question – What is your favorite food?
When we are in Germany, Schnitzel baby!!!

Wolfskind is back and with a vengeance! This is pretty much everything i want in a track. Played it this week, while out deejaying, and the crowd ate it up. Actually played it right after one of Odezsa’s strongest tracks and the crowd went even more into a frenzy. I am having the pleasure of guiding Wolfskind on his way, from very much the moment when we signed him to our label, Tanz Dich Gluecklich and i was happy to be of assistance in the creation of this tune (choooon! :). To adding the right ingredients, musically, the right dynamics, arrangement wise and especially the right texture, which Wolfskind nailed 100%. It’s a change of direction for his music and i think for that new deep house genre in general. The song of course has a very future bass sounding nuance but also a defining funk-based dance floor oriented touch which makes it unique, and much more than a disco/future/house hybrid. It’s featuring the lovely vocals of singer extraordinaire Ashe, who has been making a few waves recently. She had a good tune with Ben Phipps, which we posted before and nice guy Ben always keeps supplying us with his music, but this is a definite upgrade.
So this is a huge, huge step up for the both of them, and it is the dawn of a new age for Wolfskind and his label Tanz Dich Gluecklich and the genre in general, and for lovely Ashe as a singer, since it’s the perfect marriage and incorporation of the future sound, that’s been on everyone’s lips, the deep house genre that has been a bit played out, up until now, and a very talented singer songwriter who get the musical room to shine. All of whom finally deliver a huge banger. Instead of this song going straight into the Hypem charts, which often doesn’t mean anything besides the b-class of A&Rs worldwide paying attention, but i predict this song will be one of those slow burners. It will grab the right folks, who pay attention to quality, class & style right away and it will take some time to gain the momentum needed, in the mainstream and online reach until it becomes the juggernaut we all know it is!

Today we have the pleasure to premiere Ofenbach´s new Remix for Praise Cats! I met them two last year in paris, i was there to play a show in a club. It was really exciting to be in Paris (cause there are based so many good music producers and djs). They come over to my show and we talked about a lot of stuff, upcoming music and now about a half year later, there is another new Remix of the beloved Ofenbach! Peter Berry (the owner of the fantastic Label “AUX LONDON”) send me the track a bit earlier to get in touch with the Remix. It´s really one of the best tunes i get in the last weeks! Perfect club mix with a very groovy bassline and some melodic synths! I am sure that this will be one of the summer hits this year. So now get in touch with the Song! Enjoy it <3
