Iconic dance floor heroes Daft Punk are back with a good solid tune and everybodys covering remixing their very first tune. While it’s actually widely considered to be a sin to remix Daft Punk, much like the XX, cause it lacks every bit of creativity to jump on the next obvious thing, this Moombah take works w/o insulting the solid disco original or spoiling Pharrells vocals. It does that in regards to the original and is a hit in any Moombah set. Good one.
Been out for a minute, and what feels like an eternity in our drafts. But the immense popularity of this song forced me to finally put it online, cause in another minute no one will be able to hear the Passengers tune anymore. Its the solid Nr 1 spot on the german charts. Ps The only bearable #1 tune in years. Good, very simple and basic rework, nothing new here, a simple and fine edit following the formula of today: Singer songwriter tune meets an electronic 4/4 beat and arrangement. Predictable but works a charme with its tastefulness. Like so often in life its the simple things.. Somebody explain to me what the difference is these days between an edit and a remix?
A good one… Simple as that.
Kill Paris is destined to blow up this year, his combination of the state of the art tech sounds paired with yesterdays heavy funk, is a major influence in his music and leaves you little to no room for disapproval. Most accurately said his dubstep tech funk gives the entire genre a new twist, which is much appreciated for a scene that has had its last major inovations happen by the emergence of Trap music last year. A much welcome breath of fresh air and this one is what happens when two great ones meet.

Another great banger from Hudmo. By now the entire world got used to his flawless productions pouring out continously and somehow he manages to raise the bar with every release. While everybody is reworking the easy acapellas available (“If” & “Rock with You” and so on) Hudmo took on the Pleasure Principle, not an instant crowd cheering song, since that tune is from the mid 80ies and that generation is not hitting the clubs anymore, aaaaand still… best Janet remix out there.
