All New Versions & remixes +++ next YUM YUM in 12 days

379147326_7a785c83a7_o.jpgNow this is gona be new to the site: Every now and then (but at least once a month) the lot of us will remix a certain track and post the various versions here. Last week we took on the new Mary J. Blige single: “Just Fine”. Found an acapella version and we had to come up with something. Well you are gonna get to hear them all next Friday at YUM YUM. (next one is on December 7th).
All new versions and remixes are in highq 256 kbit resolution. Its up to you to love and hate. PS come back on december 1st to see our all new top tunes selection. So far don’t forget to check out all YUM YUM mixtapes here.

all cover versions of curtis mayfield, rolling stones, prince etc.. – done in a soulful roots reggae vibe.

French reggae soul cover band The Dynamics finally released their full length album after a year of successful 7″ singles. Has been out for a minute but i forgot to write about it. well, no harm done.

B-Day present : All my mixtapes

vol1.jpgAs a little special for our anniversary here are all the mixtapes that i did in recent years. This website will stay open and has a permanent link in the navigation under music. I have just uploaded YUM YUM Vol.1 – 6, which people are asking for on a daily, but the quality is a 128kbit mp3, which is the average on the net – but is definitely not enough for your car or your soundsystem. Do not fool yourself when you think it is because an average 4 minute song has about 40mb and an average mp3 only about 4mb. So you can imagine how much of the sound is actually missing. Not trying to spoil the fun – just letting you know. (I do not want you people getting used to bad quality mp3 – because thats whats happening in clubland with all djs playing fucked up mp3s that they downloaded a minute ago. Demand good sound for your money.) And for those of you craving for the mixtapes in CD quality – the shop will be soon online( December 1st). As well as the other mixtapes and all the tracklists. So enjoy my mixtapes, go get them all and knock yourself out. Happy Birthday…

“One fine morning” – YUM YUM Version

Just a tune i did recently: It is a song that i like to put on when i get up or before i leave the house. That’s why i called it “One fine morning” – that kind of vibe in a song sings of a beautiful tomorrow – a new morning in another world. It reminds me of waking up at my fathers house at the seaside, where i was born, with the sun shining on your belly. Those were the days…
The song smoothes me out but not in a narcotizing way – it rather amps me up with calmness (if that is possible). I love her (MJB) vocals on top of a straight production with the sample saying: northern soul, rocksteady, ska, original soulful music. i guess the soul in it makes me like that piece and put it on repeat in my itunes/winamp… whatever. If you are into these kind of tunes i guess you will have the same kind of appreciation and usage for this song as i do. Its also perfect for any dancefloor. Here is a good quality 256kb version. Ps – I like to play it loud and you are definitely gonna hear it at this Fridays YUM YUM Bday…
