Yep, this is gonna be reaaal nice – will be our first date with the temperature outside not surpassing the 30 degrees barrier. So if you have been down the last time me and steve played – you know you are in for a real treat. Top Friend is here and all the parties so far have been a blast – we are really glad to be able to hold such a nice venue for all of you. With all the other stuff going on THUR – our buddy Yogo from Tel Aviv playing someplace else and Major Lazer playing a live show – this should even get more packed – IF thats possible! Everyones gonna be showing up in our venue soner or later anyway. BE in for a huuuge night.

It was a worthy farewell to the Registratur. Well but then again not entirely – since YUM YUM and Registratur are NOT parting ways. We are gonna be throwing parties together @ Alte Kongresshalle and some other spots – like we did @ our Sommerfest.

Xaphoon Jones, the producer of Chiddy Bang, which is so far my favourite hiphop band this year, sent me his mixtape – simpy entitled Xaphoon Jones Mixtape Vol.1. what can i say, i dig these guys and their style – mucho. Grab it for free right here and show Xaphoon some love on myspace. Its a mixtape full of surprises and originality. I played 3 of his tracks last weekend and they get crowd-love.

Finally Cudis album drops. Not that albums are really state of the art in the digital age of a accelerating informational flow, but this ones worth mentioning and like Cudi says himself on the album – its different – not only from the general hiphop material – but somehow different. And for all of you who havent followed Cudis rmx, features and many, many appearances all over – not only the interwens and blogland – this is a perfect introduction to him. His two biggest hits are on here – Poke here face (sampling the accoustic lady gaga version) and of course Day & Night. We all got up on Cudi some time ago when the Day and Night original dropped, the pre Crookers Rmx, and everybody was up on it – humming and singing the lonely stoner anthem. Then of course that rmx elevated it to pop-cult status and even went into the pop charts. The only, dare i say, “Rapper” respected and featured by all scenes alike – and thats what we want these days. No limiatations and boundaries as to what your music is. So this LP comes recommended probably by everyone – not just by me – bc its one of the few albums worth buying and listening to as a whole. And you know i never supported the idea of albums.
