Canadas own Grandtheft brushed up Santogolds (its everyhere) monster from last year with some disco shine – the outcome will be heard in my upcoming sets. great treat – and finally a different approach to remixing Santogold.

The starters sent us this nice remix of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs last week – busy week but its online now. Everyon loves the YYYs – it would be outstanding if the Starters would provide better quality mp3s – 160 kbit for playing just won’t cut it and i know kids on all continents would drop most of your tunes – would be helpful guys – THIS ONE is a solid 320 mp3 so enjoy and make sure to play it out loud – . We have Djs extraordinaire : Eli Escobar & Dj Eleven as guest for our more or less forced spontaneous Top Friend Special at Cafe King.
You all remember Eleven when he and the rest of the RUB guys visited YUM YUM last year, and Dj Eli Escobar is no stranger to music lovers everywhere. The Ruba re ultimately the american counterpart to YUM YUM and Eli is the guy who does excellent remixes, edits for diplo, puts out releases on hollertronix, money lotion.
Eli Escobars blog – which is one of the favoured dj blogs worldwide and i really cant stress enough how good this guy is as a dj. Dj Elevens website – and his RUB Radio show on Brooklyn Radio.

It’s already been a year since we had The RUB playing at YUM YUM on their European tour ’08. Back then Joe, Cosmo, Andre and I developed that crazy pasta sandwich franchise thing which we thought would be huge by now. Unfortunately we got caught up in lawyer madness and heavy couching and therefor everybody’s still djing. So grab your dancing shoes and bring a friend when DJ Eleven and myself deliver you the latest goods from N.Y. and in YUM YUM sound at the well known 100Meister on Sat 18th. Doors will be open by 11PM sharp but my advice would be to be an early bird so you’re sure to get in.
