UAMO Art Exhibition. Just a quick reminder…

We’d like to point your attention to a nice little art exhibition called UAMO (Urban Art & Media Organisation) which opens up this Thursday Apr 23rd and ends on Sunday Apr 26th. There will be more than 60 pieces of art made by artists coming from more than 8 countries (Munich/Germany, USA, Iran, Italy, Israel, Spain, Korea, Netherlands, U.K., etc.).

The exhibition takes place in Munich at the Kunstarkaden (nearby Marienplatz). Free entry. Enjoy!!

Sugoy! Update

Well hello there!

Yes it’s about that time again. This Friday the “so-not-P1” night returns with another banger for all of you. not:fx and nero will serve the musical collage, so expect this to be in the good mood mode… to get an idea where this is going, me and ori teamed up for a solid 60 minute mix, which turned out to be more on the party and ravey side of things, but you like that…right?! We’re getting good feedback for the mix all over the place so I suggest it can’t be that bad.

again we will give out free CDs of the Mix as well – but you have to show up early to catch one of the few cds, since I left 200 copies in the trunk of a cab – call me! stupid cabdriver!

for guestlist join the facebook event and leave a comment for the guestlist.

mix below, tracklist after the jump.

Eli & Eleven recap

Last friday we had an extraordinary night at Munich’s Cafe King with Eli Escobar & Eleven playing sets that were amongst the most entertaining I witnessed lately. These guys tour the world and we are happy that we managed to get them both on the same date. Thanks to everyone who supported us to set this up in the short term, the small dancefloor felt like a sauna and many realized that cafe king is becoming a welcome alternative in munich’s shrinking nightlife.

If you took any pictures at that night, feel free to mail them or post them on the facebook event wall.

We will back with a Top Friend special at Cafe King soon enough – on thursday, april 30th to be precise. More on that soon.

Disco Ruido – Mrs Love (Beatles cover)

while we had 4 parties this weekend (YUM YUM in Berlin, Manchester, Duisburg & one Top Friend One Off in Munich) i was laying low. didnt check the nets or anything else, just enjoyed the sunshine and had some trips to the park. when i checked my mails on Sunday – there were 9 people who had written to me about the same track that they had found on hypem and had sent me the same mp3 (!) – a Beatles cover by Disco Ruido. Check it out – it was worth the buzz..

link to their myspace site – give them a hug for this tune and check the rest of their tracks.

!!!YUM YUM Party recaps of the last weekend (pics will follow)

YUM YUM Berlin – did damage – hope they have any pictures this time. Larry Tee was around and about everyone from Hamburg, incl former Vienna drinkmaster and VodkaBot Dsl.

YUM YUM Nrw – comic will be online by tonight, latest tomorrow. Eleven and Tand had a blast from what they are twittering, saying “best YUM YUM in months” – but they say that each and every time – how many more people do you wanna pack?

YUM YUM Manchester – Stevie in his own words: “Hi Filip, rob and I have started djing every Friday at the venue, this should boost the profile of the monthly parties. Venue packed out, amazing response, can’t give CDs away quick enough! About 10 people demanding my number email etc for more yum yum info. Unfortunately laptop took a fall (cost £250!) so doing the best I can with the phone this week, I’ll give you a shout later in the week for a chat.. “
