The Genesis Era

The old days that started Chrome Music and YUM YUM. More producer than consumer. Everything fresh.

pure Island Vibes: Mr Vegas – Mi tuff like steel

This has been on top of my playlist and my favourite dancehall tune for the last 2 months or so, Mr Vegas on the mighty Blaze Fya Riddem. A definite YUM YUM track to play at any party, even though it starts out a bit cheesy, it quickly unwinds into a dancehall stomper. Of course the boys are tuff like steely and the sexy girls bodies start exposing… hahahaha… pretty much sums up dancehall in general. love this tune, lol

Jay-z & Kayne “Otis” (Cookin Soul Rmx)

Isn’t it just hilarious how in times of mass unemployment, in times of complete change, where the world is in upheaval and turmoil is finally spreading to the filthy rich that leave the poor no room to breathe and live, and where becoming rich is no longer the ultimate goal, but is being despised by a new generation, Jay-z & Kanye do everything to show off their riches and appeal to the most illusional of desires? It is out of sync with the new mind state of the world.  A new generation, in a few years, is not gonna care if we have listened to this and so should we now, bc it is simply fun.

Like i said before, i don’t pay attention to rap vocals in general anymore so it doesn’t bother me – sounds like a fun tune and the remix is nice. Thats all folks. Let life live you instead of caring what others do.

Feist – How come you never go there

It has been 4 years since her last album and a good 2 year since her last memorable guest appearance (Wilco, Ben Gibbard, Grizzly Bear). Feist’s first track of her new album is out now and its a laid back, mellow tune even more than you would expect. I am really glad there is a new Feist album on the horizon and that her music still has that sincere, honest feel to it. New Album “Metals” / Release Date Sept 30th

How Come You Never Go There by Feist

Important!!! Our music Player works on every Browser (Chrome, Safari, IE, iphone, ipad) except the new Firefox update

— Our player is working perfectly on every browser so far (Google Chrome, IE, Safari, All the other Firefox Versions, Opera etc) and on the iphone & the ipad, but not on the latest version of Firefox 5.0. We are hoping that Firefox or Haiku will fix that bug soon! Until then pls use Chrome (best browser at present), Safari (also much better than Firefox), Opera (my favourite Browser) or the Internet Explorer. Firefox these days is what the IE used to be many years ago. Slow, crashfriendly & too big to maneuver.

Download Google Chrome Browser / Download Safari Browser /

Here is a word of advice: When browsing the net you have to get used to changing your systems as often as possible and dont get to attached to anything for too long. Since Firefox is the most used browser these days it means its time to change. As always: as soon as something becomes too big its time to change. When it becomes fat and heavy and has too many functions & versatility, its primary function becomes very limited (imagine eating a steak with a swiss army knife) and thats where a new, faster, smaller, more free challenger enters the field. Just as it was with the Internet Explorer before or just as it is with Facebook and Google+ today. You can of course keep both, i use multiple Browsers, multiple networks. Its not too much, if you simply dont care about it too much.

These things are just tools. Its like Spoons, Forks & Knifes – you take which ones needed & appropriate at the moment. Don’t get attached to anything. Everything is impermanent.

Black Milk & Jack White collabo

The Black Milk / Jack White collabo is out as a 7″ on Jack Blacks own imprint Third Man and available via itunes. A real nice collaboration of a well liked underground mc (who is an artist and not a product) and the former White stripes head who seems to keep on doing whatever he likes like a true fanboy, and thanks for staying like that. That sets Jack White apart from the rest! Their music keeps going from strength to strength, toghether and seperately. Great 7″. Ps I found these gem via our top tunes group on facebook. Thx to Max Clusive

Dj Mujavas Township Funk revisited

The much remixed “Township Funk” anthem from 2008 by Dj Mijava from South Africa was one of the milestones in the drastic change music has foretaken within the last half decade or so. There are many more tunes and artists to mention but this one introduced the world, more or less, to African Kwaito music and all the other urban sounds of Africa that followed shortly afterwards – or let the west know that there is a contemporary African music besides the Mtv clones and national crooners that you find everywhere. It also changed dance music to the point where people expect you to play a more complex drum pattern, which somehow seemed unthinkable in the popular dance scene (mind you drum & bass / broken beats – but i said ‘popular’lol). And as everything repeats itself in a ever accelerating tempo and those circles get smaller and smaller – Dj Mujavas Township Funk, especially the original, is one of those tunes that has somehow made it into mainstream (fuck that hipster talk) ‘popular’ awareness and that i keep hearing bumping out of cars, bars and even cafes these days… PS my rhymes be tight – like the Hiphopapotomus my rhymes are bottomless…

I heard it in Vienna, Berlin & Vienna on lots of occasions within a few weeks at the most diverse locations, but somehow it didnt add up. No new Rmx, Major Label Re-release or Beyonce singing on it LOL. Visit our website https://freespinspromo.com and get exclusive sign up free spins and no deposit real money bonuses. I guess its a strange summer and the worlds changing – in all directions. And thats a good thing

Here are my 3 favourite remixes – (whatever happened to Rob Threezy?) – and i am leaving out the Ashley Beedle rmx that was probably highest ranked so enjoy this fine wine, and if you get a chance grab the 115 Bpm version that i am still occasionally playing these days.
