recap of last weeks YUM YUM munich @ Piratenhöhle

We had a blast! We threw a night at the former P1, which is right now just an old abandoned place, and we turned it into something nice. We persuaded the owners to lower the prices to match those of Erste Liga, cafe King etc – so you can imagine what their average rates are (gulp) and the venue can easily fit as many people in as old Registratur, so we figured that would suit us well. But boy were we wrong! WAY MORE people turned up than anyone could have expected. The door was overrun – and nobody could have foreseen such a queue. I mean from the entrance of the club across half the parking area. I mean hundreds and hundreds of folks. To be honest i do not know a single location/ club that could fit all those peoples – except a massive concert hall or something. It was freezing cold and the people got upset about being left out in the cold for so long – AND WE ARE TRULY SORRY FOR THAT AND ALL THE PEOPLE THAT DIDNT GET IN – but no way could the bouncers and doormen and women have handled that crowd any faster. Next time we throw another unexpected YUM YUM in an Off Location – we will guaranteed have at least 2 entrances. OTHER THAN THAT – we, i mean all the YUM YUM massive n all the folks hopping around, had a serious blast. Thee Mike B. from L.A. (ps check his blog) came down while step-visiting Europe (or as he calls it “HERR Ze Europa – izza Poltergeist”) and he played on the Top Friend Floor. Max and me were holding it down on the YUM YUM side of things and to be honest we were even holding the dj booth and table tight- cause that improvised stand was shaky as hell and was held together by duct tape!! LOL. But all good – the P.A. was effing up at times, but hey it was a spontaneous party and we loved it. It was a pirates offering and we arrr happy for this massive dance to have happended on such short notice. thanks for making it mine…

ps YUM YUM plays all kinds of music, an eclectic mix of everything we love – the YUM YUM massive knows this. Nuff said!

Massive YUM YUM munich this Saturday, November 7th @ Kongresshalle

NEW massive and regular YUM YUM this Saturday, November 7th@ Kongresshalle (how to get there via google maps).

– No Dance prohibition this time. Start: 11pm – open end. Entry fee 8 €. No Registratur extra bs.

– Djs: Chrome, Max Mausser & Kamikaze (YUM YUM Shanghai) laying down the YUM YUM set and sound.

– Djs: Top Friend Floor: Schu & Ori

– Kamikaze (he last played at our Sommerfest) from YUM YUM Shanghai coming by for a step visit.

– The 2nd floor is a Top friend Floor – which looks great – in some weird 50ies style, hosting electronic music ;-)

– this time >no high throning djs, no tech laser show, Pure niceness with the YUM YUM set & sound. Gonna be maaaassive.

YUM YUM, this Saturday @ STROKE Urban Art Fair Munich

Yeaaah, like previously announced we are gonna have a YUM YUM in Munich @ the STROKE Urban Arts Fair, which is an amazing exhibition which i can onyl highly recommend and an AMAZING private Location. This is how you get there. Its actually pretty easy peasy and in the centre of the city. YUM YUM is going down this Saturday, October 31st.

The Djs – Chrome & Schowi on the Mainfloor working our magic. The Top Friend Floor will be: Schu & Super Rookie. So you can get tell – all the original crew came down for this one.

Massive Top Friend Party this Thursday!!!

This Thursday its time to get down to the very first regular Top Friend Issue down @ Erste Liga with me and Dj Beware (YUM YUM Vienna/ FM4). We have had some kind of dj try outs for the time since we opened (i think 12 different djs) and now the set dj crew is established and done experimenting, some simply couldnt cut it – we’ve had a couple of nights where the djs mistook this spot for a cheap bmore club or couldn’t even play a nice warm-up, or even had the misfortune of playing during the Beerfest. Well all thats sorted now. The music policy we have in mind for T F will be displayed on the new mixtapes, which will soon come out and find its way through the webs to you – or will be handed out physically at the Party.

Djs: Me and Beware – besides both running our own YUM YUM outfits, me in Munich and him in Vienna – share a passion for all kinds of music. Come down to witness the original Top Friend sound and make this another biggie to go down, only real place to go to on a Thursday night and the only one with musical essence and backbone. Make sure to show up early or you might end up like the guys on the picture below.

YUM YUM munich this Saturday, Oct 10th @ Alte Kongresshalle

After the Registratur closing we had a heated debate where to go to, and every single club in munich offered us a premium spot. But we decided to keep it interesting and head out to Kongresshalle twice, do something at the huuge Stroke Urban Art Fair exhibition and concentrate more on off locations, cause not a single spot in munich came close to the Registratur.

So this Saturday we are having our monthly night @ Kongresshalle, where we had our Sommerfest, which turned out to be the best party i have been to this year. Djs will be chrome, max mausser & notfx. There will be an outside area !!! Which is in my eyes very importent no matter what – need to step outside and catch a breath now and then. The 2nd floor was supposed to be a top friend floor, but we are not even sure if we can have a 2nd area – due to some police regulations. We ll see how that works out. Ps before we start the night there will be a live show with Buraka Som Sistema starting at 9pm, which will be over by latest 11.30 – thats when we will start. No worries about the entry – The concert is handled separately: So regular entry fee from 11pm on – before that, its the entry fee for Buraka – anybody who is gonna stay after the show is free to do so.
