Lions Head – True Love (Lyric Video by Mi-Zo)

By far my favourite, arty lyric video that is out there. By now i got bored to death (no not by the religion of peace) but by all those animated fonts dancing in circles to give meaningless words from even more empty meaningless songs some kind of cucked beta meaning. This is honest and has nothing to do with ‘True Love’, and ever since i quit working with LNZHD, to chase my own ideas of music, i think their sound has improved a 100% and they went all the way! Ignacio has significantly matured and his new song is by far the best LNZHD i have heard this far. He fulfilled his vision of how lnzhd or actually he has to sound and come across, and it reflects the man i know better than what everybody else “in his corner” has been spoonfeeding him. Finally there is some sincerity and the sound is a bit rough around the edges, w/o over compromising and none of that teenage latin lover crap “industry connoisseurs” have been pushing on him (aka pushing their own agendas and careers). Also, very good job Tati & Eric – must have taken some nerves man! A lot of punching and pushing and screaming and having to do everything by yourselves! Best thing is you did it all by yourselves folks and doesn’t that feel just right?! Best damn feeling in the world. My favourite piece of non-goatfucker music out there. To everybody reading this, make sure your artists get off that R&B fagfest happening atm. Very well an international tune and a definitive WIN. I see this going places!

Maybe you now understand why i was against that whole early major label signing. Give acts room to breathe first. Godspeed!

Shy Luv – Time

Shy Luv from the UK with a beautiful and uplifting new disco-pop song called ‘Time’ and the vibe reminds me of Mayer Hawthorne and Tuxedo. These days, time is a scarce commodity and we should appreciate every single moment we’ve got to spend with our beloved ones or simply enough time to do whatever we want to do with our lifes. I think we’ll see a shift in near future when technology further evolves. Robots and AI’s are taking over and we have much more time to do other things. If Selena Gomez & Kygo would have recorded this tune, it would be a massive global hit and maybe their biggest tune to date. But these are relatively unknown young guns matt kali and oliver ford, who both display immense talent and most of all great synergy. It usually takes a team of songwriters and co-producers to come up with a massive dance anthem like this, but sometimes things are just meant to be – Like this juicy collabo right here! So here’s a bit of advice from anyone that had international success out of nowhere. Never change a running system, and by that i mean the team, who produced, promoted, and delivered this tune, down to its tiniest detail and its faceless members. Make that system work flawlessly, without effort or having to push, reproduce it over and over, hone your skills, your market value will only increase, over time, and will put you in a comfortable position of power. As anyone in the music biz will tell you, these days you have to work a track betw 6-12 months to break it, so let’s see where this stands after the summer. You still have a long way to go but you just made a MASSIVE entry!

The track as you can hear is a sweet summer serenade, with a latin guitar, a reaggeton feel and a massive hook that is real LOW! The tune will have teenagers doing things, they’ll regret the next morning and will maybe become the soundtrack to many nasty memories of 2017. Will definitely be a dj favourite this summer. Can the real squatting slavs please stand up!

Bomb track by the Highrollers feat our favourite femvox atm : Miss Bri Tolani. The song has some kind of EDM feel to it, you know like Pretty Lights, Kill Paris, Gramatik or Griz, but i think that’s just the feel of the drums, other than that the overall style is much fresher and best described as a brassy future bass tune. The rest is a hit pop song with a savage eastern european / slavic lick  that makes you want to join the squatting crew, and live every moment in track suits with an orthodox christian gold chain. Russian Hackers at work!

Very welcome tune by the Highrollers, just came out this weekend and already their most successful song! Whatever you guys are doing different now, this seems to be the way to go!

About : The Highrollers is a project started in mid 2016 by Adam Oh (22 years old) and William Oh (15 years old). Their first release was a remix of Marshmello’s Alone which accumulated 80k plays on Soundcloud. After that release they were noticed by several taste makers and with these new links established they went on to co-release a remix of Zara Larsson and MNEK’s – Never Forget You on Chill City and reworked a cover of Radiohead’s Creep with Ember Island and co-released with Future City. Now with a few remixes under their belt, they started making more original work.

Here’s one more story to show how blessed I am in having a job like this here. Of course from time to time you feel like you have no enthusiasm at all, no connection to the things you do daily, or the days are just grey, grey, grey…  and it feels like your goals will never be achieved.  Mostly right at that point is where I can’t ignore my own thoughts that get bigger and louder asking for other adventures, questioning my daily being, judging myself for not looking deeper and being afraid of the passing of time. Right at this exact point along comes a song like this. A song that reminds you directly of your true path. To listen and support other people. That’s what i do best and what i enjoy the most. I want to thank our close friend wolfskind for introducing us to Ninski with his excellent Remix for wolfskind’s ‘Stone Cold Thriller‘ . So this one here is already his second release on Tanz Dich Glücklich – keep up the good work young jedi! …and thank you for showing us the bright sight of life with this collabo tune :)

HtPkt’s original Running was already a song we had on our radar, but before we could even flinch, this remix shows up by the two of them. I think the future has great things in mind for these two craftsmen, who are still both experimenting in many waters it seems, but at this early stage already show some serious talent. And not to forget Bri Tolani with her beautiful floating vocal tones and emotionally charged intonations. Her work ethic and dedication will sooner or later pay off big time. And i can tell that she is busy hardworking one, bc we just did another song with her. A somehow weird and bizarre, but super danceable Ace Of Base Cover, and Bri’s work ethic was superb. It’s always perseverance that makes the difference between failure and success, between losing and winning. In any case this track, and all three protagonists are a WIN!
