I got so annoyed with the popularity of Adeles track and how overplayed and overremixed (it that even a word) that tune became in no time. But then, Paul played me this when i stopped by in the UK for a tea (not a clichee, i swear).

Seriously…. Hands down, best version of Adeles track, a funk summertime monster, thats creeping up on you and it grows with every listen. Produced by YUM YUMs own Paul, no samples involved in this one. Give it a minute till the bass kicks in and all those little variations give it that serious Soul/Disco stomp. Expect to hear it on friday and actually everywhere else i play, this ones guaranteed to get the dance started on some serious oldschool loft flavour. Heavy funk bassline pushing Adeles song to another plateu, sending all those millions of remixes (except jamie xx + heatwave) to the curve and creating something new. This is my favourite version so far!!!

As always djing with Joe was great fun and everybody went mad on the dance floor. Just before he left NY he finished this remix inspired by chrome music. Here is what Joe had to say about it:

It took a minute, but I FINALLY got this remix of John Legend’s take on Adele’s monster hit polished up just hours before heading to the airport for my European jaunt. (A rougher version is on the promo mix elsewhere on 11InchRecords). Thanks to the Yum Yum guys in Germany for providing the inspiration, Eugene Tamborine for the additional keys, and Icewater for his deft engineering hand. I hope you enjoy!

Hudson Mohawke is a scottish producer who made quite a bit of ruckus for himself and has constantly been pounding his way into my eardrums for the past 2 years. Too call his music this or that would be way too simple, any attempt to do so would significantly fil and labeling stuff is not how its done anymore.
