Obenewa – He

large

Obenewa’s “He” is dulcet in its tone, giving us a first taste of this London songstress. So the story goes, she was sick in bed when she started singing some lyrics a cappella, these lyrics would form “He,” the sultry record we have today. With an influx of DJ’s strutting their newest gadgets, Obenewa firmly puts her flag in the sand, letting us know that an emotionally and talented voice can still captivate an audience.

The debut track is deeply felt, where she talks about a break-up. It’s a fluid combination of soul, R&B, and snarl of rock. Of course, we are awaiting what else Obenewa has in production, with only one track up on SoundCloud Obenewa is poised to shake things up a bit.

Rihanna – FourFiveSeconds (The Him Remix)

tumblr_lxbffvdFqQ1qg7qr4o1_500

Did anyone see Rihanna, Kanye West, and Paul McCartney join forces? We sure didn’t but are glad they did. “FourFiveSeconds” is stripped down, pondering to the new and old generation with it’s acoustic elements of pop-folk and sprinkle of soulful rap. Simplicity at it’s best.

The Him, a duo from Amesterdam, gave the track an ejection in the hip, thus handing every DJ a new club track for his or her arsenal. Wedged in six minutes, The Him gives “FourFiveSeconds” a hooky theme with a unique and subtle piano progression laced in the chorus. Six minutes seems like an eternity but with appropriate breaks and that damn good progression, the track is constantly reinventing itself. Dance-able at the core, The Him builds an intricate pattern throughout, leaving Rihanna and Kanye West alone to do what they do best. https://22bet-de.org/ – Casino und Sportwetten an einem Ort

Bakermat – Another Man (Original Mix)

post

It’s unknown if “Another Man” is a direct homage to Johnny Cash, but his twangs of guitar are reminiscent throughout the track. One can see why he has the Melodic House genre on his back, sampling jazz, soul, and even the iconic “I Have A Dream” speech in one of his records. Keep moving if you’re looking for that new twerk 140 bpm jam, for these tracks are for your Sunday Soul collection.
