New YUM YUM Stuttgart this Saturday @ Schräglage

This Saturday YUM YUM Stuttgart takes place at Schräglage. After having some pretty nice parties down there I’m heading down south to Stuttgart for the first time and I’m pretty much looking forward to dj the latest in YUM YUM Sound and Music with our buddy Tipura who’s representing 0711 and YUM YUM Stuttgart.

If you haven’t already check out the 0711 blog which is pretty nice (plus I wrote a short guest post)!

Finally here is some feel good music to get you started into this sunny day. I hope it’s sunny where ever you are too!

A new 11″ (haha) by our dear buddy DJ Eleven (Twitter / Homepage) from NYC. It’s called “Every Freakin'” features Mike Baker The Bike Maker (again – haha) and was just released a couple of days ago. I really dig this but don’t take my word on this. Listen to it yourself and check out what Joe (Eleven) has to say about it:

Over a year after starting on the project, the joint that I did with the homie Mike Baker The Bike Maker has finally hit the (digital) record stores (and their virtual shelves)! Vancouver’s Kutcorners contributed a great bassline for the original version. Mike2600, Illo + Keam, and DJ Ayres all flipped really good remixes. And, Kalani did a fantastic job bringing the artwork for it all together.

As promised we just received word from Stones Throw (Twitter) about the ongoing production of Aloe Blacc’s upcoming album. So here you go with the second single called “Femme Fatale”. Here is what Stones Throw has to say about it:

The second single from Aloe Blacc’s forthcoming Good Things is a 7-inch of “Femme Fatale”, Aloe Blacc & Truth+Soul’s take on the Velvet Underground classic.  The instrumental is on the flip side of this heavy 7-inch slab of vinyl.

YUM YUM NRW tonight @ 100Meister

It’s already that time of the month again and we’re happy to celebrate June’s YUM YUM with all our dear friends and a lot of smiling faces. DJ duties for the night will be up to Tand Williams (that would be me) and D-Nice (who’s down @ 100Meister for the first time). So make him a warm welcome. We’re really looking forward to another edition of HUG LIFE by taking the sunshine right from the streets and put it into your hearts. See you there.
