Giant Microwave turns Plastic back to Oil
A US company is taking plastics recycling to another level – turning them back into the oil they were made from, and gas.
All that is needed, claims Global Resource Corporation (GRC), is a finely tuned microwave and – hey presto! – a mix of materials that were made from oil can be reduced back to oil and combustible gas (and a few leftovers).
Key to GRC’s process is a machine that uses 1200 different frequencies within the microwave range, which act on specific hydrocarbon materials. As the material is zapped at the appropriate wavelength, part of the hydrocarbons that make up the plastic and rubber in the material are broken down into diesel oil and combustible gas… (Read on)
We are in the middle of our summer break.
Here is our very last comic book until August. This is from Friday June 22nd before we went on vacation. I know it should have been posted some time ago, but i was lazy and actually enjoyed my very first time off after a long time.
So here is our YUM YUM comic book of Friday June 22nd and it will be our very last one until August, where we will take a little excourse into erste Liga, where we will hold our YUM YUM Summer Break Special on Saturday August 4th with Djs Chrome, Schowi & Marek. YUM YUM going places before the new Registratur reopens on Friday August 17th with our regular YUM YUM.
YUM YUM will become a bi-weekly venue, held every 1st and 3rd of the month. But more on that soon enough and our new Mixcds will contain all new YUM YUM music and infos. ps. Daily posting starts right now.
We will be having our very last YUM YUM night tomorrow night, Friday June 22nd!
After that we will be on a well deserved Summer break, while the Registratur gets completely renewed and reworked. And i am not talking only new stuff & new paint. I mean a great new vibe and good Karma! We will be back in the brand new Registratur at the end of August or latest in September. Keep checking back with me on this site and you will stay informed, still get our monthly Top Tunes selection and daily (!!!) new posts during our 2 month summerbreak. (Top Tune selection for June)
TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH: Even though everybody was saying something different and rumors were spreading. We didn´t know until one week ago that the Registratur would continue for maybe another year and we are the ones to know first, but it was a legal matter so no one could tell for sure.
BUT we were ready to call it quits, in case we had to move. Some call this a strange behaviour but that´s just how i am. I do not like to give in to artistic compromises.
ALSO – IN THE FUTURE: YUM YUM will be what it always was a bi-weekly thing, not some weekly nonsense – this is way too exhausting for me and we don´t have enough djs playing that kind of sound to kill each and every week – and i don´t have enough time to come up with new MixCds and plenty of new Versions.
PS- DURING THE BREAK:
- For all of our YUM YUM people, friends and family we are having our YUM YUM Summer party on Saturday August 4th, in the middle of our break.

- New Cds, Tapes, Shirts, Gadgets will all be conceived and finished in the Summer when we finally have some more time.

Funniest Myspace site i have ever seen and oh so true. This is my new Myspace site and profile. I know a lot of djs and other idiots who think this is the way to communicate, profile and all their other excuses for having their crap pages that get them some sorrow couple of hundred euro bookings. PS – Old news: MYSPACE BELONGS TO RUPERT MURDOCH – and if you still don´t care you just showed me how sophisticated you really are.
